Patch 4.0.3: Deathy is going to rehab

NethaeraFor those of you who attended or watched BlizzCon 2010 and claimed a Deathy pet, you may have noticed that he's acting strange. In fact, he seems to think he's Grunty the Murloc Marine. This is an unintended consequence of the groupthink from which all murlocs suffer. Deathy will be undergoing an extensive rehabilitation program and should be acting appropriately destructive once his idol, Deathwing, shatters the world in an upcoming patch that will debut prior to the release of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.

He randomly kills all critters in a zone. Anyone nearby sees them get "Stands in fire" achievement.

If he had to share actions with another merloc, why couldn't it have been Murky. I would love to see little deathy doing the "Hello my baby" dance!

I'm curious how getting him into rehab went. Also if he keeps this behavior in 4.0.3, I really hope that a blue comes out and says "We asked Deathy to go to rehab. He said No No No!"

Awesome response! Made me laugh =P. Looks like Murlocs need more diverse basic schooling. You know, optional fire-breathing and critter-smacking courses.

Following his stint in rehab, Dethy is required to wear an alcohol-monitoring SCRAM ankle bracelet for 90 days.
He will voluntarily wear the bracelet as part of an intensive outpatient program, said his publicist, Nethaera, in a statement on Friday.
