As a notoriously stubborn one-handed fury warrior, the idea of doing less damage than a Titan's Grip warrior isn't exactly a surprising concept to me. However, having it supported with Single Minded Fury *is* a nice surprise--I honestly wasn't expecting it to make it to live realms (and if you can tell, I'm still giddy about it). As a result, I'm going to continue to do what I've always done: equip my one-handed weapons, chop things up all quick-like, and just have a bloody good time as the furious; insane-dead-juggernaut that I am.We love you Single-Minded Fury; don't ever change.

I'm in the process of getting the Wrathful MH and OH slow fist weapons for my SMF offspec, to play around with. Sadly, the Gutbusters I have (grabbed before they got sharded) are really lame for testing SMF.

A guildee got the wrathful 1h axes to run a SMF spec, and he loves it and is at least putting out decent damage. He's about 400 AP behind my so-so geared arms warrior with 251 weapon, but ahead on crit, and we are pretty even for damage. If I got a wrathful 2-hander, though, I'm sure that would change pretty quickly.

I'm not sold on the idea of PvP weapons. Sure, you get AP instead of Agility, but you also get resilience instead of hit or haste and a hefty portion of the budget spent on stamina. AP is a very important stat, but simply because a weapon has AP on it doesn't mean that it'll have high enough total stats to be worthwhile. As a point of note: the fast 245 dagger out of ToC is better for a Mut rogue's offhand than the 264 pvp one is, simply because of the stats. To that end, I've got Bloodvenom Blade and Keleseth's Seducer (both heroic) which I'm going to try in next weeks' raid. My guess is that they won't be as good as my H-Cryptmaker and R-Golrenzelig or however it's spelled.Anyhow, here's my view of it. If SMF will be superior at any gear level, it will be because the 15% damage modifier increases our non-weapon-based attacks (HS, BT, and most importantly Execute damage). However, if you're down somewhere close to 15% attack power (from lack of strength, but also from the drop in hit/crit/haste/expertise from lower-itemised 1h weapons), it won't matter since you're average damage will be down more than the SMF modifier will make up.To that end, I'm probably right on the cusp, down about 13% AP, maybe 2% haste, 2% crit. Still, I'm going to run a week with it anyhow, see how it goes, just to have done it in person. However, I'm 100% sure that, if the Agi on my one-handers was Strength, that'd change the strength loss from about 400 to about 250, and the increased damage on AP based attacks would probably make SMF and TG quite balanced overall. SMF with strength weapons is almost surely going to Execute harder than TG, with TG having harder-hitting Raging Blows and white swings. SMF might even come out ahead on fights where execute-range damage is very important like Professor Putricide or Sindragosa, but weaker on other fights. Not sure how AoE will compare - SMF will hit harder with cleave, but TG will hit a lot harder with Whirlwind. It looks like an interesting time for Fury ahead...
