The Daily Quest: Alternative thinking

The Evil Twin debuff doesn't really do anything; it's just there. But I've often pondered what exactly an evil twin of my character would do. Would she join the Lich King's army? Would she trick people into thinking she was a mage with her Wormhole Generator and laugh when they tried to click? Or maybe she'd visit Sheddle Glossgleam in Dalaran, get her shoes nice and shiny, then kill a squirrel and stand on the corpse, waiting to see what poor sucker stops to try and loot the thing.
Oh, wait. She already does that last one.
Regardless, here are some posts from here and there around the blogosphere in regards to different ways of thinking:
- RestoDude ponders the interplay between gaming and real life.
- World of Warcraft Philosophized considers the questionable legitimacy of objective rewards.
- Corath's Blog muddles over the switch from caster to melee main.
- Asilventures has a few ideas about beating the pre-Cataclysm blahs. Noggenfogger roulette, anyone?

According to several comments on wowhead, Evil Twin does in fact do something! They said, that it prevents you from being summoned by warlocks.

Here's a blog I think you should be following (shameless self-promotion):

and here's an example post:

I'm not sure why I got downranked here, I thought this was the place where we try to promote our blogs?
Sorry if anyone got offended. :(

The engineering Wormhole Generator portal can't be seen by other players.

You also can't use your rocket pack on gunship when you have that debuff. My raid found that out the hard way when our tank wasn't able to jump over >

Oh, what? This guy's version of Noggenfogger Roulette involves landing on a target? Back during Vanilla, my buddy and I would run through Darnassus (we were Horde) and out to the semi-beginner zone, finding an open spot to jump down from. Jump, spam Noggenfogger, and hope you hit water alive.
Bear in mind that there's a ton of branches on the way down, and it is quite easy to go splat before clearing them, or being saved by the Noggenfogger floating buff.
It was really fun when Alliance would chase us, sometimes jumping down after... :)
It wasn't really fun when you had to keep going back up and jumping down as a ghost, trying to come within rezzing distance of your corpse. :(

Ah, I didn't finish reading it. They DO play to the death! Although simply using your flying mount for height takes some of the edge out of it. Oh well, my version won't be very doable after Cataclysm anyways.

I used to do that but i was on my night elf newbie and had the same problem with the corpse runs which is why the "Return to graveyard" button is a godsend.

When I'm feeling evil I summon a non-combat pet, apply http://www.wowhead.com/item=43352/pet-grooming-kit and stand in heavily traveled area. I never get tired of watching people try to click on the sparkly prairie dog.

My evil twin would be, of course, indistinguishable from me in both appearance and behavior. Now, a *good* twin would act entirely differently...

How do you know you aren't your Evil Twin, and your Evil twin also has an Evil Twin?

This week at "Tales from the Void", what started as a reminder and a primer about one of the most heated topics likely forthcoming with the arrival of the first expansion to have the dungeon finder live at its onset, turned ugly in a few places it was discussed, as it became apparent that saying a "prayer for the Cataclysm dungeon finder" was like discussing politics or religion in mixed company. And it wasn't the prayer that offended people, it was three words that everyone is bristling to put in charge of their gearing process: Need before greed.

On an RP server, the Evil Twin debuff can be a great deal of fun. With the right group, you can quickly and easily set of a chain of events that will have long-lasting repercussions for your character.

This week in Asilventures I take a look into some dances that I would love to see when Blizzard finally releases the fabled "Dance Studio", and I toss around an interesting idea regarding achievements rewarding dances. What dances would you like to see in game?
