I know your comment is in fun, and I take it in such, but I just want to point out, anyway, that detonating the founts of ancient magic each time HASN'T been for a short lived victory. Our victory over KJ in the Sunwell was something something more short-lived and such.
Archimonde is TOAST. Think about this- He is the only WoW villain about whom we haven't yet seen "XxX was only a setback!" or similar- Archimonde's defeat at the World Tree wasn't just a setback, like almost everything else- that victory was SACRED. The Sacrifice required to do it, the power unleashed- The Night Elves are one of the only civilizations to, instead of taking the Legion up on their offers of power and becoming a corrupted civilization- enough of them retain themselves well enough to fight back, and they have.
I don't really care for Night Elves. But you can't deny- despite all their faults- The Night Elves are the only non-divine race (at least, that I know of) to have struck so powerfully and so lastingly against the Legion.
The correct response when talking about Night Elves and their efforts against the Legion, especially when considered in the consistent, colossal failures of just about everyone else to deal with it, are rightly considered with awe, respect, and even reverence. We have much to learn from them.
We also have much to teach them about humility, the arrogant horse-turds. :)
