Worgen druid flight form video from Wowhead

Well, what do you know! We figured that worgen and troll druids would just get recolors of existing druid flight forms, but it looks like we were wrong. The latest Cataclysm beta patch added a brand new Swift Flight Form model for worgen druids, so it's safe to assume that trolls will have one soon as well.
I'm liking the Gilnean flag on the back of the form, as well as the serrated beak and big feathery mane. Wonder what kinds of touches the troll form will get? Guess we'll have to wait and see! And hey, maybe this means we'll see new moonkin forms too. A dog can dream.

There's no chance of Trolls getting anything other than a re-skinned bird. You know Blizz and their "recognizable silhouette" rule.

Really I'm kind of disappointed. Maybe it will look better in-game, but it looks kind of wishy-washy when you compare it to the awesome that is worgen cat and bear.
Don't get me wrong, still rolling a worgen druid regardless. Just hope it gets some tweaks between now and launch to make it look more vicious and badass like their other forms.

It makes sense that the new races would get their new, upgraded models on their release, of course (what better time for it?). However it would also have made sense that the tauren and night elves who have been asking for the new forms for so long now get first dibs at the prize, as it were. In any case, congratulations to Worgen on their new Flight Form, it does look spiffy! :D

They did. Remember how they completely redid the cat and bear forms? The flight forms are perfectly fine the way they are. They're both really high quality, especially when compared to the old cat and bear forms.

The epic flight forms for Tauren and Night Elves were the first high resolution texture model for Druids, and in the game period if I remember correctly.
Regardless, the epic flight forms dont need updates.

It's kinda sad that the new moonkin pets will probably have a higher quality model than the in-game forms. :(
I love my critchicken to bits (even though they are no longer critchickens), but a poly update would rock. Even mapping some of the existing in-game skins to give us a range of colours to match the cats and bears would be an improvement, there's plenty to choose from.

Concept art of the Troll Moonkin is what made me want to roll one in the first place, trying a premade on the 4.0.1 PTR only confirmed it. Seeing recolours from beta previews... really turning me off.

It looks really cool. It actually reminds me of a regular druid form mixed with a "Belted Kingfisher" which is an awesome looking bird (google it!).
The wolfy ears are also very cute.

i might be wrong here but i remember the female troll druid in the zalazane event turning into a bat when she flies away to scout for zalazane near the end of the event.
ive always thought that was like a foreshadowing of the troll flightform.

Yes, she did. They better not dangle that in front of us and then make troll fight form a bird. Plus as we know from questing in STV, no self respecting Darkspear would worship bird loa.

@h3lladvocate: they didn't call her "Da Lady of da Tigers" for nothing. Her tiger form was just the same one as the lowbie tigers on the islands, I figured it was because that event happened before Troll cat form was finalized.
I'm hoping the bat form was foreshadowing and not just another placeholder though.

@h3lladvocate Yes, she turned into a standard orange tiger and the basic bat model. Logically one could assume that since Troll druids have flamboyant tiger cat forms that they will also have flamboyant bat flight forms. Then again, no one ever said Blizzard has to work logically.
