Worgen druid flight form video from Wowhead
Well, what do you know! We figured that worgen and troll druids would just get recolors of existing druid flight forms, but it looks like we were wrong. The latest Cataclysm beta patch added a brand new Swift Flight Form model for worgen druids, so it's safe to assume that trolls will have one soon as well.
I'm liking the Gilnean flag on the back of the form, as well as the serrated beak and big feathery mane. Wonder what kinds of touches the troll form will get? Guess we'll have to wait and see! And hey, maybe this means we'll see new moonkin forms too. A dog can dream.

All of my previous posts are what I think the Druid Flight Forms should be and why. Sorry if I'm ignorant of the facts that sherekhan88 and Narshe pointed out. If I were to have my way, I'd have the Night Elf Druid Flight Form be the Storm Crow, the Tauren Druid Flight Form be a Wind Serpent, the Troll Druid Flight Form to be a Bat, and the Worgen Druid Flight Form I'm not really sure of as I wish for each to be different species.

@Harvoc
1.) The Epic Flight form for Night Elves and Druids are different. The Night Elves are purple, have longer beaks, glowing eyes, long ears, and a more "civilized" armor. The Tauren are brown, have shorter but curved beaks, horns, and a more tribal armor.
2.) Why would Tauren get a Wind Serpent as a flight form? When a.) they really have nothing to do with Wind Serpents and b.) They learned all their Druidism from the Night Elves.

For your second point, I'm not basing my choices on lore. I'm basing them on what species of flying beasts I found in the areas that the druidic races start from. I'm also basing them on what I think would be cool and unique. Also, again I may be wrong, but I don't think the Tauren were taught by the Night Elves only. There are two main groups of thinking on this and one is yours and the other is that the Tauren learned druidism separately. This point hasn't been entirely clarified by Blizzard so I'd be careful when saying that the Tauren learned druidism from the Night Elves.

This is not up for debate.
There's no "my way of thinking" and there's no "other way of thinking".
Yes, Tauren did learn Druidism from Cenarius thousands of years ago but they have since forgotten that. Malfurion befriended Hamuul Runetotem and from that friendship, the Night Elf Druids taught the Tauren how to be Druids again.
All the CURRENT Tauren Druids learned it from the Night Elves.
There is no debate here. This is LORE.

What about hobo runs? Where you run a dungeon in nothing but gray quality items!

I think you meant to comment on the previous post "15 Minutes of Fame: PvE twinks turn lowbie instances devilishly difficult" instead of this one. That's the only logical explanation I have for your comment being on a post about the Worgen Druid Flight Forms.

Why is it wearing red military camo?
sherekhan88 Nov 3rd 2010 10:13PM
Oh hey, it's Bayonetta!
sherekhan88 Nov 3rd 2010 10:14PM
Well either that or a ramen delivering super-crow.

After comparing the Night Elven Druid Flight Forms and the Swoop models, I think they're too similar. The only differences are a "mane" of white feathers surrounding the neck of the Swoops and their red ( I think the Wiry Swoop model has blue talons, but it may just be a trick of the lighting as the Wowhead screenshot is very dark) talons. Some may prefer only a slight change but others might think that switching to a Wind Serpent model like those found in the Tauren's original homeland, the Barrens, would be better. Critics of this idea might say that it's too similar to what a Troll Druid Flight Form could be, but with most supporting a Bat model, I think it isn't half bad. Besides there are no other beasts that can fly that are found in either the Barrens or Mulgore.

Dam it, this comment was meant to go to my previous comment discussing what a Tauren Druid Flight Form could be. Sorry.

Yes, sorry about that. Next time I should think before I click. :)

God I am just praying for troll flight form to be a pimped out bat. The moment I realized that bats made perfect sense for troll flight form (or perhaps my friend suggested the idea, I can't remember; we're both super excited for truids) was the moment I absolutely knew that I wanted a truid.
I won't be super devastated if we end up with a stormcrow (perhaps in orange-brown to match the moonkin form) but I think we can all agree bats would be way cooler, and I'm happy to hear that the druid NPC from the Echo Island event had a bat form.
I'm still hoping they update the troll moonkin form. I love the color (it was in fact the exact color of moonkin I was hoping for), but what's up with the antlers? Get rid of that elf nonsense and give us our tusks!

Here's to hoping theres a Bat flight form for the Trolls. Kinda like the Druid in the retaking of the Isle event. Tiger form and Bat form....cmon big money big money no whammy!

Did anyone else see a WoW Gold ad pop up at the bottom of that vid? The irony made me wince. Gogo Ads by Google!

Anyone know if this is the epic flight form or just regular?

Does the quest chain still exist for swift flying form? If so, where does it start? I'm certain that I've hit all the quests my trainer ever gave me, and thought I'd hit all the pretty big quest chains throughout my journey to 80. I haven't come across anything. I thought the only way to train it was to pay for artisan flying, then train it at the trainer.. i'm still saving the gold.
