Asiko is an up-and-coming song maker who has released Take your time, featuring Sharm and Abandonation. The video was created by WoPairs. That's a pretty good crew for a premiere video, and the audio work in this piece reflects that.
The imagery was especially interesting to me, and I wonder how music and videos like this will change when Cataclysm is released. Will we see significant changes in the factions of the main characters? Do we think some of the portrayed rivalries might shift? I'll be curious to see what happens. Huh. As soon as they started rapping I thought I would hate it, but it wasn't that bad. The beat was good, it was original and not a parody, and the graphics were pretty sweet. Thought the part with the human girl could have some more variation, the angle was a little awkward and didn't give those scenes much of a dynamic feel (which isn't good for a chorus.) but overall it was pretty good.
Nice seeing something other than a belf as the main face. (And no, that wasn't a dig at Gigi or anyone. More just 'really, a belf again? Trolls are awesome too ya know. /sadface' thing)
I wish Sharm's voice was as loud as the guys compared to the back music during the chorus. First time through I couldn't understand the middle part of the chorus.
I personally don't like the PvP Rap videos out there but I found the beat and lyrics for this video pretty solid. Seemed more original takes on battlegrounds than just "I'm doing stuff that my class does and my name is _________ better watch out noob!" that quite a few other famous PvP Rapers are known to do.
Always that criticism on haters though. I guess you can't have a PvP Rap without calling out the haters. Haters gonna hate after all!
I think you hit the nail on the head there. I tried really hard this time to get into the mindset of the kind of person who enjoys pvp rap. It's too far a stretch but I did try.
I can't say anything bad because I can't be fair w/ the genre at all.
Sharm's voice is nice. :) I can say that. The rest of it is lost on me I'm afraid.
I'm noticing more and more of the "shaky-cam cinematography" being used in various music videos. I'm not sure how to feel about that as visual tool. On one hand it can look cool but it can also be a lazy way of adding some feel of movement to an otherwise static background. I'm not saying that's what's happening here. I'd have to give it another couple of watches and... I really don’t wan to.
Kudos to the artists.
As for criticizing the haters... I can't help but point out that if the whole point of the thing wasn't to brag and stroke one's epeen, then they wouldn't be generating haters in the first place. I just don't see the point.
Overall a good music vid. The lyrics didn't seem forced at all to fit the rhythm, the animations were clean (though several clips were reused) and were on beat for emphasis, and the vocals were not only understandable but were good as well. The vid has an overarching theme and fits the song well.
My only criticisms are the reusing of certain clips and the beat was much louder than the rest of the music, detracting from the vid itself. I understand that he was going for the characters singing/rapping and that is okay, but try using different angles when you do it, it's not like the characters have 16 animations for the same thing. When I was doing AMVs I learned how to cut audio tracks apart and turn up or down specific parts for effect or to keep the audio at a constant level. I think these things would make your vids better and have more people (especially critical people like myself :p ) enjoy them much more.

Maybe I'm a black sheep on this.. but I really, really, really enjoyed this. Sharm is the only girl that does WoW songs that I can stand.. and I love Aban and this Asiko guy fits right in. I'll probably be listening to this over and over now. :) Good job, guys!
Turned off at the first line. Sorry, this could be the visually most impressive machinima ever for all I know but I can't stomach any more rap machinimas.
Abandonation always knocks it out of the park, Sharm has a fantastic voice and I think Asiko has real potential to make some more awesome videos. Wopairs always makes superb videos, this is just another addition to that collection.
Abandonation's work is always incredibly impressive. His rythym and lyircs are always spot on in coordination, and Sharm's voice is fantastic! She is *the* only female WoW singer I can stand who isn't tone-deaf, or whiny/nasally sounding. Asiko's got some serious potential; he actually kept the beat. Overall, this was a well-done collaboration.
Thank god it didn't have an elf as the main character.
Good video overall. It sounds like they upgraded their mics and got better recording equipment. It's always good to see hip-hop video every now and again. I like seeing the variety of players and players style come out in these videos. Good stuff, Moviewatch. Thanks!

Tapping Mic + Earphones = Please Stop
I couldn't listen to that video. The tapping makes my eardrums bleed. Does it continue for the whole video? =(

Usually, I'm not compelled to post because something is bad. However, the music was just absolutely horrible.
