The Queue: Dog and pony show

Rainyia sent us this picture on Twitter. "It's what I imagine worgen riding mounts to look like," she says. I suppose she's not far off, though admittedly this worgen looks a little, uh, young.
jq71586 asked:
Do the immediate goblin and worgen starter zones have mailboxes? Or to retrieve heirlooms, for example, is it still needed to run toward a larger nearby city to access a mailbox?
New goblins and worgen do indeed have mailboxes available right away. You'll be able to get your heirlooms and proceed to outlevel the starting zone right away, even though you can't leave until you complete it anyway.
Shiro_Shishi asked:
I'm not a big WoW lore guy, but why can't night elves be shaman? I mean, they seem to respect the elements and whatnot; do the elements not like the night elves or something?
Night elves, and by extension druids, are much more about the respect or worship of nature itself, as opposed to the elements that make it up. That's the basic difference between druidism and shamanism.
TehRoflWaffle asked:
Any sign of High Overlord Saurfang on the beta? I'd heard somewhere he might be in Nagrand after burying his son, but I'm not sure.
He's holding down the fort for the Horde in Borean Tundra after the defeat of the Lich King.

Although couldn't worgen be human form while on mounts?

I believe they can (never really checked, since I don't like the Human form), but the puppy is more adorable.

I don't really get why anyone would think a worgen riding a mount is weird... I mean they are humanoids mounted on a quadroped like any other race...
To me mounted draenei look much more awkward and the whole situation of things with hooves riding other things with hooves makes it even weirder...
Akhi Nov 6th 2010 5:18PM
I think it's less a question of "Would a worgen get on a horse?" and more a question of "Why would any horse let a snorting, growling wolf-man anywhere near it, much less let it hang out on its back."
I assume that would apply to rams, cats, and elekks as well, and as for mechano-striders, well...even snorting growling wolf-men have their dignity.
Cowy Nov 6th 2010 10:52PM
When Tauren do just fine riding around on pink Chocobos (hawkstrider), i think its safe for worgen to ride anything.
You know they'll be on the other races mounts eventually anyway. I'm waiting to se Worgens on mechanostriders. :)

too small :( surely there had to be some more questions
razion Nov 6th 2010 12:43PM
It's not like they're short on material--they have other editions of the Queue they could pull from... Why they shorten it, however, is beyond me.
A5 Nov 6th 2010 1:05PM
Hey! The Queue just got out of the pool! And it's really cold in here!
The Pirate Nov 6th 2010 1:53PM
I agree, i miss the longer queues. It cant take too long to answer these questions when you have the image and opening paragraph done. Surely they could squeeze in 2 or 3 more questions.
Michael Sacco Nov 6th 2010 1:57PM
Yesterday was 200 comments about punctuation, 20 questions we've already answered, and 3 questions I don't believe we've talked about before.
If you want more answers, there has to be more questions.
Xaklo Nov 6th 2010 2:12PM
@ The Pirate
wowinsider gives us shorter queues as a refreshing change of pace from WoW queues. If you need your 40 min fix go solo-join a bg :D
Scunosi Nov 6th 2010 3:44PM
And worse yet when you ask a question that never gets answered. Which leads to this question!
For the Queue, do you guys record/backlog questions from previous Queues? Or does a poster have to repost every day if they want to get answered. Some of my questions I was really interested about at the time, but they didn't get answered and I've forgotten what they were to re-write them.
Dr. Knox Nov 6th 2010 4:16PM
How can we be expected to ask complex questions when we are distracted by such adorable pictures constantly?
This is obviously a plot to answer less questions!
Kurash Nov 6th 2010 5:23PM
The comments about punctuation were pretty rad, though. :)

Question for The Queue;
Are the guild-earned new heirlooms in Cata going to be the only accessable heirlooms available to level from 80-85? Because my partner and I have a private guild on one server for the two of us that consists of just our few 80s and little alts - if the heirlooms are deep into the guild levels will we still be able to access them with just the two of us running around?
Brainded Nov 8th 2010 4:09PM
While we're on the subject of punctuation (and by extension, grammar): "If you want more answers, there *have* to be more questions."
razion Nov 6th 2010 12:07PM
I've asked around and searched, but I can't seem to figure out what's happening to Wintergrasp Commendations with the patch.
I've saved 17 of the buggers which translates to about 800-900 honor, or can be vendored for 300 gold. I'm worried that with Cataclysm and the implementation of the actual cap and taking away of the soft one, that my Commendations will be taken away.
What are happening to WG Commendations in Cataclysm?
Jeremy Nov 6th 2010 1:26PM
I don't know for sure what will happen to them, but why would they take them away? That makes no sense. And ... that's pretty much my full answer. You probably just won't be able to use them if you're capped, or at worst you'll be able to use them but they'll have no affect. But simply taking them away? When have they ever done something like that?
Xid Nov 6th 2010 3:32PM
Wait a sec, haven't they already been turned into honor points?
