Breakfast Topic: Which Cataclysm zone are you most excited about?

All of us are anxiously awaiting Cataclysm's going live. Wrath is winding down and people are anxiously anticipating the new content. Some want new raids, some want new dungeons, some want new quests, some want to make goblins or worgen. Some of us are just really excited to see the changes to the old zones, and some just want to get right into the level 80 to 85 content.
I myself am in the beta. I have played it as it has evolved since the friends and family alpha, and I have watched some of the zones go from buggy and near unplayable, with quests not yet implemented, to being far more fleshed-out and nearly ready to go live. I love Hyjal. It has an epic feel; you are right in there battling to reclaim the zone from the Twilight Cultists and the elementals. Deepholm is equally amazing. In the revamped zones, I thoroughly enjoyed the CSI-inspired murder quest chain in Westfall. I have made both a goblin and a worgen and must say, the goblin starting area and Azshara should not be missed. Everyone should make a Horde character and complete the Azuregos and Kalecgos quests in Azshara. On the other hand, I feel Gilneas is a little overscripted and Darkshore is still a little odd.
There is a lot of the world I want to see when Cataclysm launches, but there are places I want to see more than others. Where are you most interested in exploring when Cataclysm comes out? What do you absolutely have to see, and what quests do you want to do? What particular zone excites you the most? Or are you just in it for new dungeons, raids and new shiny epics?

Unfortunately, access to the quest hub is only granted to the winner of the Tol Barad BG.
I’m not totally sure how the mechanics on that work but my thinking is you’re basically running PvE dailies – following a successful PvP session. It had very minimal population when I popped in there a few times on Beta (and my faction won every time so I can’t be certain) but I think all enemy faction are ported off the island after each PvP engagement (they’re definitely ported off the battle island, not certain about the quest-hub island).
I’m with you completely on Quel’Danas. Easily the best patch ever in the history of WoW, in my opinion. There’s plenty to do following a win in Tol Barad – tops Quel for certain. But I don’t think we’re able to engage in non-BG/ organic PvP like you’re looking forward to.
Here’s hoping I’ve got that wrong...

The Blasted Lands! Every picture I've seen of that place is gorgeous, so I want to see the place in its entirety.
From a game play perspective, I'm very interested in the new PvP battlegrounds.

I want to see it all, but I think the place i'm excited for the most is Westfall! I leveled there so many times, and boy...was it a pain!!! I can't wait to see it's new work!

Looking forward to the new Blasted Lands, Desolace, WPL/EPL experience... pretty much all the new zones, too...
...but most of all, Twilight Highlands. Awesome Wildhammer villages, lots of greenery, epic battles, and it's only a stone's throw from Dun Morogh so it's not a long trip from my favorite city.

Well, that ALL sounds pretty neat to me! Can't wait!

What am I most excited about? Well..the new starting zones and revamped areas. I will probably be rolling multiple characters to experience the new content (and I've put my mid level characters on hiatus until the expansion launches). Of course I will play both Goblin and Worgen (I always play both Horde and Alliance) and then there will be playing my two level 80s (Human Paladin and Belf Warlock) through the new 80-85 content.
As a lorenut/roleplayer I am already enjoying the new opportunities for some great RP. Even with the pre-expansion events I've been doing some fun stuff with others as I go through the quests. I didn't start RPing until after WOTLK came out so this is all quite new and interesting from a roleplaying point of view.
I LOVE to quest and Catalyst will be great..I just know it will! So I'm really excited about it and will have all winter to explore. L)

From what I've seen from beta testing the place I'm looking most to going is Uldum. I think for starting out leveling Vashjir for those who like being ganked enjoy hyjal no nuetral zone for horde and alliance everyone is on there own in that zone. Plus questing in Vashjir was I think more fun on beta i did 80-81 hyjal 81-82 vashjir 83 deepholm 83-84 uldum, twilight highlands 84-85. Should all be fun regardless on what people do.
