WoW Moviewatch: End of the World (of Warcraft)
I never usually answer my phone when the number is blocked, but this time, I had a hunch. Swiping across the screen, the gravelly voice immediately came across the line. My eyes narrowed, grip tightening around the metal frame. "We have Gray. You know what we want." This time ... it's personal.
Nymh and Sharm, two of the most prolific machinima voices out there, come together for End of the World (of Warcraft), a parody of R.E.M.'s awesome It's The End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) . The vocals are on par with other Nymh offerings, and I did enjoy the lyrics, giving it a big "A" for effort. Some of the rhymes are there for filler purpose, but is pretty good for an R.E.M. parody. I am enjoying these refreshing reminders that WoW really is changing substantially in less than a month, and sometimes the gravity of that is a little bit lost on me. Enjoy.

I love the forecasts for the days following Dec 7. "WTB Skin!"

Sincerely, one of the best WoW musics I've ever heard. Just perfect.

Well, I don't think it's their best, but it's very good. Sure beats the blood elf raps.
Anyways, back to getting my new main from 74 to 80 before cata. If only Minecraft weren't so addicting I'd be there by now.

Its a nice vid, but I couldn't stand listening to the guy. He just doesn't have a singing voice...
NeoCloud61 Nov 9th 2010 12:54PM
He never has and probably never will. But I still love his vids for the witty rhymes he comes up with.

I was thinking the exact samething as i was listening, but the lyrics and video made up for it completely lol. Overall, i found it pretty enjoyable.

I've never been able to listen to Nyhm without cringing.

^^ THIS version is a much better rendition of the song IMO.
Bul'jion Nov 9th 2010 1:03PM
Sorry, but Nyhm did this song MUCH better.
Hiwa Nov 9th 2010 1:49PM
Actually liked your version a lot. Are you the same one who did I've Been Everywhere? Cuz I'm a huge fan of that song :)
Natsumi Nov 9th 2010 1:49PM
Okay, after watching your vid I have to say that your song is better but Nyhm's vid is better. I think you relied too heavily on the Blizzcon '09 cinematic for footage, though it was cut well together. You were slightly off key so you may want to pick up Autotune to fix that (not using the special effects, just to correct the tones) but your pacing was spot on with the original song (unlike Nyhm's vocals, which could also have used a dose of Autotune).
A little more creativity in your video and using the basic functions of Autotune will make you a good if not great vid artist.
Overall Grade: B+
Vidoe Grade: B
Vocals Grade: B
Song Grade: A

I agree with Natsumi. Your lyrics and song was better, just need better gear to make it sound clearer, but Nhym's vid was better overall.
However, your song is now on my favorite. Helloooo background music while running alts through the Elemental quests...

Same song, different styles, both really excellent! I am not a critic... I don't care how well someone sings or if they use some fancy, schmancy piece of equipment. I LOVE the creativity and the fun I had watching the vids.
Well done!!
