BlizzCon 2010 pets for DirecTV subscribers arrive

Once you redeem the code, the pet will appear in your characters' in-game mailboxes. Go check it out and show off your murloc pride with this half-dragon, half-adorable pet! With Cataclysm right around the corner, now's the time to let Deathy see the world as it is before it gets torn asunder by his inspiration: Deathwing. Don't worry about him acting strangely -- the little guy is already out of rehab.
The email will come from blizzcon@rayv.com, which is the DirecTV publisher for the event.
BlizzCon 2010 is over! WoW Insider has all the latest news and information. You'll find our liveblogs of the WoW panels, interviews with WoW celebrities and attendees and of course, lots of pictures of people in costumes. It's all here at WoW Insider!

Mine came in the regular mail last week. Plastic card - same one as from the goody bag.
Rakah Nov 10th 2010 10:30AM
gonna warn people. yes they are sent out but be wary of scam emails nonetheless.
The correct adress is http://www.blizzcon.com/loot , when you click redeem this will redirect to battle.net
Xarthan Nov 10th 2010 12:06PM
http://us.blizzard.com/blizzcon/loot/
will also work, the blizzcon will direct you there.

If you ordered through DirecTV's Blizzcon site, you get a card in the mail with the code and instructions.
If you ordered through the Rayv site, you get an email with the code and the instructions.

I ordered directly from the tv. Last week mine showed up in the mail too.

Super!
Much faster than last year.
adamnorth27 Nov 10th 2010 10:20AM
Yes I can also confirm that I have got my pet in my e-mail inbox.
SINisterWyvern Nov 10th 2010 10:23AM

Jerodar Nov 10th 2010 10:24AM

If we get enough Deathys in one spot and they do the flame breath that they do, will the lands of Azeroth break?
(cutaia) Nov 10th 2010 10:44AM
If so, we'll need a picture of Deathy with an "I BROKE YOUR WORLD!" speech bubble to use as blog headers for a few weeks.
Nathanyel Nov 10th 2010 10:26AM
Thanks, without this news, I maybe wouldn't have checked my mail anymore today! (raid soon)

The article is misleading. He still acts like grunty, since patch 4.0.3 hasn't come yet. So while he might be "out of rehab" he isn't home from rehab.
sunday.deadventures Nov 10th 2010 10:35AM
Not out of rehab yet. I still hear Grunty's gun.
ScorchHellfire Nov 10th 2010 4:40PM
Same... and when you click on him he does the grunty style gurgle that sounds like its muffled because of his marine helmet...
Lissian Nov 10th 2010 1:36PM
Got mine this afternoon!
Xarnlen Nov 10th 2010 10:49AM
The link may look like
http://www.blizzcon.com/loot
but it's actually
http://mailman.netcraft.co.il/t/r/l/vdtmd/kuijuljyi/r
This is what fooled a lot of people because it looks like a scam link but once you got there you are redirected to the us.battle.net then logon to your account and a redeem window is there to enter the code.
So some email spam filters will throw this in the spam bucket, if you think they did not get to you check your spam. Same thing happened last year.
I wish they simply told you to logon your battle net account and click the redeem codes option instead of the crap marketing rerouting stuff.
Knob Nov 10th 2010 10:51AM
Personally, I just copied the code that came in the mail to my clipboard and manually went to the B.Net page. Screw clicking links that come in mails.
Koleckai Nov 10th 2010 12:08PM
I just typed in blizzcom.com/loot into Google Chrome and it took me where I needed to be. Logged in, copy and pasted the code and got my stuff. I never click links in emails.
Tauur Nov 10th 2010 10:54AM
Whatever they did to him in rehab obviously didn't take. Still sounds like Grunty but haven't seen him or anyone else's do any animations after 15 minutes or so. I do like the muted sounds he does when you click on him though.
