Troll druids get unique bat flight form

Troll druids just went from best druids to the best druids, as their unique flight form has been revealed -- a bat with tiki shoulders wearing an awesome mojo necklace. Check out a high-res picture over at MMO Champion. The video is after the jump.

Ever since we saw the worgen druid flight form, a unique re-skin of the traditional tauren and the night elf flight form bird, speculation has run rampant about what form troll druids would take for flight -- would it be a new creature like a bat, or another unique flight form bird model? Our prayers are answered. Troll druid, here I come!

I was waiting to be able to faction change my nelf druid over to horde. But after seeing this "epic" flight form, I'll be doing no such thing. I dont understand how anyone could see this model as good in any way. Its an awful bastardization of a troll and bat, with the worst bits from each. If it was a proper bat (such as the ingame bat mobs) that would be fine. You dont see tauren flight being some horrible half cow half bird abomination. Druids are supposed to be animal shape shifters, but this looks like the troll got stuck halfway through shifting. Horrible :(

I totally agree.
This is unbelieveably ugly...just as all things troll are.
I love the horde & my Tauren druid.

One of my favorite parts of the game is any zone or instance where I get to kill trolls, regardless of which faction I'm playing at the time.

I would change race too but the rest of the forms and color schemes are ridiculous... They look like they came from the circus.

It's definitely unique: "Unique? What is that Latin for asshole?" to quote planes trains and automobiles. They are going to need to hire more people to be able to help them count all their monies. Good job Blizz. Just in time for Ca$hmass. :p

Oops. I meant to say that I'm really excited by the new troll druid flight forms!

I like the ear animations a ton, actually. It looks cool, and totally like what a troll would look like as a bat.

I just wish the bat was blue, not black.

I don't think this rules out Forsaken druids. They could still go with any of the undead bird models in game, with some tweaks. Or, they could go in a completely alternative direction and make forsaken druids shapeshift into flying pigs, who would soar over the snow-capped glaciers of Hell, recovering from the shock of Rick Astley giving them up and letting them down. The (im)possibilities are endless! :P
