There is no such thing since blizzard stopped policing realms themselves.I would love for them to make anyone transferring to, or rolling on an rp realm sign a copy of the rp rules upon trying to do so. Then for Blizz to actually run the realms, enforce the rules and clean house.Alas.. not enough manpower or whatever other excuse they want to make.

The lack of manpower is a valid concern; don't blame Blizz for it unless you've actually done it, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I used to be a chat monitor for an Online Service a few years back -- believe me, it's a chore keeping tabs on even ONE channel, and the company ended that particular chat room function because they couldn't waste the manpower needed to keep up on the monitoring, when they needed CSRs more for tech & regular support. And THAT was a significantly smaller operation than Blizz (how many servers? How many different chat channels on each server? Yeah. It's that major.)

Why not reduce the amount of RP servers (and hey chuck us oceanic guys one too!) and police them, because I've tried but someone with my hours (australian) plus with the insane lack of RP (outside of closely knit groups) I find it hard to be able to jump in.

I hate seeing this (and it's not just you, seems to turn up on every RP-themed article.) I'm a PVE player on an RP server. We transferred with every intention of taking part in RP, but found it impossible to get started. I couldn't get my husband to RP with me in pubic, and when we caught people RPing it was always a very closed group. I'd never grief RPers, unless the RPers count anything other than crawling through cities at a snail's pace as breaking immersion, and I love seeing RP when it happens. I don't like being blamed for ruining my server, which I love, but I have no idea how I could ever take part.

My above comment should really be a reply to Beth's earlier comment.

@ Maribel: You definitely wouldn't be counted among the people that are ruining RP servers. You would have to be actively working against RP (ie griefing) in order for that to be true. I know it can be very tough to get started in RP. I got lucky way back in the day and found a guild to join that got me started. I would say just spend a little time RPing normal everyday things you do, and you'd be surprised who might play along.
