Xarantaur is/was an EU player known for his lore Q&A on the forums. His character claims ICC to have learnt from Cenarius. The NPC in game in a tribute to him and retells the background story he created for himself. Which while it confirms being taught by Cenarius doesn't claim it was before the Sundering

I suspect when Blizzard made the tribute to him they decided to add that bit to keep the discussion about who came first going :)
