Time between Cataclysm pre-event phases ramping up

Many people have been concerned or complaining about the time between each phase of the Cataclysm pre-events going on right now in Orgrimmar and Stormwind, and Blizzard has responded with some excellent news. Zarhym recently posted that the time between the start of phase 2 and phase 3 was shorter than the previous phases, and players can expect the time between phase 3 and phase 4 to be even shorter. According to my calculations, there is the potential to see phase 4 at the beginning of the week, probably Monday or Tuesday. We live in exciting times.

The time between the start of stage 2 and stage 3 was shorter. I can tell you the current plan is to make the time between stage 3 and 4 even shorter. ;)

You're pretty much getting just a few lame quests, you can kill elementals and then kill level 80 versions of old bosses for a shared loot table.

That's it, not sure why this is called a "pre" event, it IS the event.

I hope they extend more of the Nagrand quest series so we can see Thrall's progression there. I can't wait until Orgrimmar goes up in flames and is rebuilt. It's going to look badass.

I hope not. i'm not a big novel reader, i get bored easily when i try and glue my eyes to a stack of paper with 1000 words on each page. [anyone wanna volunteer making an audio-book?]

Since the game is their main property, should thoes of us who dont read, really have to miss out on such a huge part of the storyline?

Here's the secret... just because the MMO is the best-selling of their properties, it doesn't make it their priority. They actually hold the novels in higher regard (as far as storyline dictation and continuity) than the MMO. The MMO is just something to do to make you feel like you're actually doing a darn thing to help the overall plot... between books. :p

Really. I'm a good reader, but the WoW books, especially Christie Golden's are so easy to read, I can't believe someone who can play this game can't focus on it.

Oh really? Care to provide any kind of proof of that statment?

Personally I somehow doubt that the MMO, which probably earns Blizzard more money in a couple of months than all the books ever will, has less priority.

Well with cataclysm itself launching in 3 weeks and 2 days, and patch 4.03 (or 4.03a, dont remember which one was the one that brings the shattering but not the actual new content) being released about a week prior to that, so we all can check out the new zones before going into a leveling frenzy, I thought they would release the last phase only in a week. But this is a nice surprise.

So Phase 4 wc Nov 15th and "The Shattering" wc Nov 22nd? Giving us two weeks before Cataclysm goes live in the new world?

where would you get an idea like that? none of invasion phases actually need a patch, they were all part of 4.0.1.

Lol the elemental invasions are in patch 4.0.1 patch 4.0.3 is up on the ptr atm no real changes to speak of yet. 4.0.3 will NOT drop this tuesday likely the week b4 cataclysm, then 4.0.3a which is the launch on the 7th keep in mind the cata servers go live at 7pm eastern Aussie time and not 12am.

MMO Champion now reporting that 4.03 is this week so I guess I was right....
