The Queue: Turtles, horses and name origins

Today is another one of those days where I just can't think of something interesting to say as an introduction. So ... how about that Q&A, huh?
Croe asked:
Are the sea turtles you fish up in Northrend going to be useful for getting around in Cataclysm in the initial stages?
Not particularly, no. The very first (or maybe second) quest in Vashj'ir gives you the ability to breathe underwater in that zone and also run like a maniac on the ocean floor. Not too much later, you earn an underwater seahorse mount that goes at epic flight speeds. Vashj'ir supplies you with better than the sea turtle, for sure.
Darasen asked:
Is there a lore reason that undead ride undead horses?
Sure. Their living horses died.
deweymaverick asked:
Is it still possible to get the Tripping the Rifts achievements, or is that portion of the Cataclysm warm-up over?
I picked it up on one of my alts Friday night after phase 3 of the Cataclysm prelude kicked in. As of Sunday night as I write this, it is still possible to get that achievement. That might change if phase 4 kicks in today (Monday), but I think it's going to stick around until the expansion launches.
LITH asked:
Will Gilneas City have an auction house? It seems like it would be a cool place to hang out.
No. Gilneas City, as a hub, does not exist. Once you've quested through it as a worgen, that's all there is. You get shunted out and there is no going back in any meaningful way. It is not being added as a capital city or anything of that sort. The Alliance is still just Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus and Exodar.
EaterOfBirds asked:
I'd like to know the origins of the names Ziebart and Sacco, actually. How to pronounce them properly, too. I'll be gutted if I've been saying them wrong in my head all this time.
Ziebart is a German name and the Americanized pronunciation is Zee-bart. I have no idea how it was pronounced before the name came overseas. I haven't looked into it that much. I'm far more interested in my mother's maiden name and have researched that much more. I was actually going to get my name legally changed to that one before I became Mr. Published Blogger/Editor/Author/Journalist. Losing name cred sucks.
I don't know as much about Mike's name, but I know Sacco is an Italian surname pronounced sock-o.

What will be the major changes between 4.0.3 and 4.0.3a?
Josin Nov 15th 2010 11:05AM
There will be elemental invasion ramp-up in the cities, with barricades and forming actual defenses against them. It sounds pretty epic, actually, with teleports to safety provided for low-level characters. (Women and children first!)

Johnny fisticuffs Nov 15th 2010 11:09AM
all of the cata zone changes plus the new race/class combinations at a minimum.

4.0.3: World hasn't gone boom.
4.0.3a: World goes boom.

Sorry to hijack your post, but when is 4.0.3 and 4.0.3a anyway? Has that been announced and I just missed it?
I just wanted to make sure I do the quests on at least ONE of my characters on each faction.
Skarn Nov 15th 2010 11:27AM
As a follow up to that, here is the visible changes between 4.0.1 and 4.0.3:
Nothing.
Skarn Nov 15th 2010 11:31AM
Yay, follow up post!
"Sorry to hijack your post, but when is 4.0.3 and 4.0.3a anyway? Has that been announced and I just missed it?"
Official patch dates are never announced, except for major expansions. That said, 4.0.3 is extremely likely to hit tomorrow. 4.0.3a will probably come no sooner than a week before Cataclysm.
Rob Nov 15th 2010 11:32AM
Appantly 4.0.3 is dropping tomorrow. There are almost no changes of note, except that it is downloading all of the cataclysm stuff (which is not enabled until Dec 7th).
omnibishop Nov 15th 2010 1:20PM
I probably should have been more clear.
What changes will happen when 4.0.3 drops that make it different than 4.0.1? And what changes will happen when 4.0.3a drops that will make it different than 4.0.3?
Drakkenfyre Nov 15th 2010 1:32PM
Additional changes to make the last patch work. Additional bug fixes, system changes.
4.0.3a turns everything on. Is unlikely to contain any actual changes.
Skarn Nov 15th 2010 2:17PM

I thought I was pretty clear too. :) There is no noticable difference between 4.0.1 and 4.0.3. The world will NOT change. Bugs may be fixed, macros may work better, but no REAL changes.
4.0.3 and 4.0.3a are a totally different story. The world explodes. EVERYTHING changes. All the zones change, all the quests change, achievements change, etc, etc. The new race/class combos will be available too. Only the Cataclysm exclusive content like worgens, goblins and 81-85 will not be available.
Boom.

@Skarn
That's what I was looking for. Thanks.
Michael Nov 16th 2010 10:32AM
Will I still be able to get my Glory of the Ulduar Raider (10 man) ach this reset? All I need is the annoying one from razorscale because everyone left after algalon..
Valdrix Nov 15th 2010 11:04AM
See now we know what happens to the players horses when they don't feed them.
Josin Nov 15th 2010 11:04AM
What sort of hair products does Mike Sacco use? His hair is so thick and lustrous!
Nitride Nov 15th 2010 11:19AM
I'd like to see a queue where the only questions answered are about Sacco's hair.
Also mooninites.
Josin Nov 15th 2010 11:24AM
Sacco's hair doesn't get the recognition it deserves. No longer shall it stand in the shadow of Matt Rossi's beard!
(I suddenly want to see Mike Sacco doing an Old Spice spoof for hair care products.)
Daynthebold Nov 15th 2010 12:41PM
Sacco's hair shall never leave the shadow of Rossi's beard. Rossi's beard needs no shampoo or frou-frou hair care products. It is simply ... The Beard, alone and indomitable.
