Official WoW forums going read-only on Wednesday, new community site and forums ready

Last month, Blizzard announced that it would be launching a new World of Warcraft community site, with new and improved forums. At the time, Blizzard said that the existing official forums would be phased out after testing of the community site was complete. The community site went live earlier this month.
Now, a wave of identical blue posts has hit every section of the WoW forums with the following message:
This Wednesday, November 17 these forums will be put into a read-only state. At that time we'll be inviting all posters to fully migrate to the new World of Warcraft community site and forums.
http://www.battle.net/wow
These forums will remain read-only until the end of the month, after which they and all of their posts will be removed ... forever! If you have any posts, information, stickies, etc. that you'd like to keep you'll want to have finished saving it before then.
We've all enjoyed the past few years on these forums, and look forward to creating many more with you on the new community site. See you there!

So that's it! We won't be able to post in the official forums anymore after Wednesday, Nov. 17, and we have until the end of November to save anything on the official forums we want to keep or remember!

New forums are awesome. Got a minor problem though, anyone have a quick and easy way of saving multiple pages? Thinking of http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=20677329926&sid=1&pageNo=1 (You awaken in Razor Hill)

that's not really my thing, but having read the first 5 or 6 pages in the past I do appreciate the effort that went in to it. At 64 pages now it's obvious a large group of people do too.
I've looked at the new forum today when I saw the blue post on the cata forums, they seem pretty cool.
I was on the cata forums for an answer to a question, couldn't find it, so I'll ask here.
I have 7 level 80s (hopefully 8 before cata comes) and each has professions that I want to keep at level 85, some have professions at 450, others 440 and one (hunter) has professions at 400. I was wondering what level professions do I need to start in cata? I remember although 375 was the TBC max you could start northrend professions at 350 or so?
Also, why does cata have to come out the day of my first exam?

Razor Hill is saved at www.thelittlestmurloc.com.
Over there reading it now. Bona fide WoW classic :).

You need to be 25 points from max to train the next profession tier.

I cant wait to see the flood of "LAST" posts.

So... do permabanned people get a reprieve?
7Seti Nov 16th 2010 7:41AM
Previous bans don't seem to be transferring over to the new forums, but from what I hear the mods are being pretty enthusiastic with the banhammer.

They are operating a blank slate policy on the EU forums.

There was a thread in general discussion created by someone who was permanently banned from the old forums, asking if they could post. A blue response came within the thread that the new forums are totally separate from the old ones, what was done in the past has no bearing on the future. So play nice.

I was banned from the new forums already. I posted two threads, asking a questions about the race changes when Cata hits, got frozen, posted again, got banned for 72 hours, came back after three days and they changed it to a perma ban. I have no idea what's happening with them. It's really disappointing because I've never been in trouble on the forums, have actually been the one receiving a lot of flaming and abuse on the forums, and now I'm the one getting banned. The new forums are great, and I'm so mad at them for this.
Yomamma Nov 16th 2010 7:24AM
I hope they don't. The new forums are supposed to be a friendlier place with less personal attacks on other people. I would imagine permabanned accounts are that way for a reason.
Crowqueen Nov 16th 2010 8:36AM
If they continue to be idiots, no doubt they will be banned again.
Ricohardt Nov 16th 2010 9:36AM
I was permabanned during the RealID spitstorm, as I'm sure many were. As long as Blizzard isn't planning some major breach of privacy again, I'm sure I'll enjoy the new forums for quite some time :D

Must find and bookmark Scourge Chat Logs ^.^

Cool. Nice to see this blank slate policy.
Zhiva Nov 16th 2010 8:28AM
EU version STILL does not have in-game support, tech support and website support forums. "Ready", ha. "Did you think you'll have support forums, silly Europeans?"
Crowqueen Nov 16th 2010 8:36AM
Timescale may be different from the NA forums. These are not appearing yet on our old pages - the EU stuff is still in beta.
Nathanyel Nov 16th 2010 8:40AM
EU might get it a while later:
