The Queue: Azeroth goes boom

We'll start with a question that's probably on a lot of people's minds.
Omnibishop asked:
What will be the major changes between 4.0.3 and 4.0.3a?
Patch 4.0.3a will bring about the new face of Azeroth, where all the zones are changed, etc. ... This is called The Shattering. Or as Knob said:
Carebear asked:4.0.3: World hasn't gone boom.
4.0.3a: World goes boom.
Are we really going to be able to play at midnight, or can we expect servers to be messed up for at least the first day after Cataclysm goes live?
That depends on where you live. Blizzard announced that, unlike other years, no matter where you live, you'll be able to play at 12:00 a.m. PST -- that's Pacific time. So if you're on the east coast, that means you'll be able to play at 3:00 a.m. on Dec. 7.
As far as the servers being stable, they usually are, for the most part. There are a few restarts throughout the day, but that's it. The only real problem is actually getting into the servers in the first place. The queues can get into the thousands, and people are in no real hurry to log off.
Bep asked:
Where should I park my Horde 80s before Cataclysm to be able to jump right in to leveling?
Stormwind for the Alliance, Orgrimmar for the Horde. You'll be able to pick up the initial breadcrumb quests there and move on quickly and easily. Remember that Dalaran and Shat no longer have portals, so you're out of luck if you park there.
Xehn asked:
Will the seahorse mount from Vashj'ir be usable in any body of water? Or only in Vashj'ir?
Right now, you can only use it in Vashj'ir. Blizzard might change it at some point down the road, but for now, that's your answer.

Is Aliens the best action movie ever made?
Josin Nov 16th 2010 12:46PM
No.
Kunikenwad! Nov 16th 2010 12:46PM
Fine choice for sci-fi action. For realistic action and intensity, Ronin and Heat get my votes (it's a tie!).
relmatos Nov 16th 2010 7:32PM
No. Shoot'em up is.
MrJackSauce Nov 16th 2010 12:50PM
No. I believe that honor goes to a small film about 2 men named McClane and Gruber.

Ghostspeaker Nov 16th 2010 3:12PM
Nope. Alien is one of the best horror films ever, though.
dpoyesac Nov 16th 2010 1:10PM
Aliens is one of the best (top 10 at least) action films ever, one of the best sci-fi films ever, and the best James Cameron film, edging out even the original (or... as original as you can get by ripping off Harlan Ellison) Terminator.
Don't let the haters get you down, JR; future generations will judge us worthy of veneration simply because of the awesomeness of Aliens.

Let's not talk about movies, it's like politics, everyone has their own opinion.

Die Hard gets my vote!
Question for the Queue. In order to get a nice start on cata levelling (I'm going to be way behind guildies due to exams) I plan to complete 25 northrend quests on each of my 80s (8 of the buggers) before cata launches and hand them in AFTER cata launches.
Ideally they'll all be in 1 area as I plan to set my HS to Stormwind before everything goes mental. Are there any quests that you recommend? Ideally they'll give a large amount of xp and be in similar areas.

I don't see how anyone can list Terminator 2 seriously with Edward Furlong's cringe-inducing lines and acting in that movie. Way to ruin an awesome concept and ginormous effects budget with lazy casting.

Best action movie? Well, Bruce Willis is in most top contenders. I'd say Fifth Element is my favorite, not sure about best.
I guess Kung Fu movies aren't action, but if they were, The Protector, man. Tony Jaa will kick you apart! I'm not sure he touches a doorknob in the movie, he just throws people at doors he wants open.

My vote is on "Critters". : )

I feel Hard Boiled deserves a mention.
Not saying it's no1 but hot damn it's a great film.
harro1 Nov 16th 2010 11:41PM
Absolutely. James Cameron 4tw!

Obviously Skyline is the best action movie ever.
I loved the bit where it turned out that the guy played by Turk from Scrubs was actually alive an that he was the one controlling the aliens.
Banic Rhys Nov 17th 2010 3:56AM
Probably should have put a spoiler alert in there (assuming the post I'm referring to turns up)
