I still don't see why getting rid of them was necessary. They're the Highborne! They can't *all* have suddenly thought "alliance sounds good right now". Surely *some* would have remained behind.
I'd have loved it, though, if they'd been split--half joining the Alliance as the Shen'dralar, half joining the Horde's archaeology-focused Reliquary (And with the original Shen'dralar reputation changing names if the player was Horde). That way Dire Maul could have been revamped...
...as a battleground.
