The Queue: Nah nah nah-nah-nah-nah, nah-nah-nah-nah nah nah nah nah
Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.
Yeah, so maybe I've been playing a little Rock Band 3.
Dath asked:
Are the Dragons of Nightmare still in Cataclysm?
Yes, but only half of them. Lethon and Emeriss are canonically dead, but Ysondre and Taerar make appearances. I won't go into detail as to the nature of the appearances because it's best experienced.
Deius asked:
I had heard Winterspring was almost completely unchanged. Is this false? If so how has it changed?
Like many Cataclysm zones, Winterspring is nearly unchanged geographically but almost completely overhauled in terms of questing. There's a zone-wide quest line to determine what's under Lake Kel'theril and why it's caused so much trouble. There are friendly blue dragonflight members. There are cameos by nearly every alien species in the Warcraft universe. It's worth a look, but of course, it's a matter of personal taste. You might like other revamped zones better.
Vorenos asked:
How are tier sets purchased/earned/won in Cata?
Last I heard, it works like this:

Last I heard, it works like this:
- You can buy a few pieces of basic T11 with badges.
- Other pieces are only purchasable with tokens that drop from bosses.
- Heroic raid bosses that would drop tokens on normal mode drop tokens that are used to upgrade a set piece in a specific slot to its heroic equivalent.
- Sinestra drops a token that can be used to upgrade a set piece in any slot.

Is ZG gone on Tuesday? And the mounts are going to be gone forever? Are they turning Exalted for Zandalar tribe into a Feat of Strength?
The Pirate Nov 21st 2010 2:27PM
No one knows the real date for The Shattering. However ZG will be gone come The Shattering. Since The Shattering is going to happen either This Tuesday or Next Tuesday, whenever it hits, ZG will be gone.
Ice Nov 21st 2010 2:14PM
If the patch is coming then.
Yes, Its gone.
Kaorael Nov 21st 2010 2:43PM
I wouldn't hold my breath for the Shattering coming this week. With Pilgrim's Bounty in the way this week, I'll bet Blizzard will wait till the event is over.
The Pirate Nov 21st 2010 3:30PM
Well, i know someone who was on beta and the pilgrams bounty stuff was there just fine. Also bounty stuff isn't in the way of anything and can be moved, they wouldn't let a little holiday stop a patch
Kaorael Nov 21st 2010 3:06PM
It's not just the event though, it's a real holiday in the US, and developers may want to spend it with their families instead of dealing with all the unexpected happenings after the Shattering.
The Pirate Nov 21st 2010 3:31PM
Well then the EU will get it this weekand US will get it next week. That makes sense.
Artificial Nov 21st 2010 3:38PM
@The Pirate: Not really. The developers are in the US, regardless of where the players are. If they don't want to deal with issues over the holiday, they'll hold it up worldwide, because if they don't, they'd have to deal with issues over the holiday. They can't just ignore a game-breaking issue because it's in the EU and say "Eh, we'll deal with it after the holiday, those europeople can just deal..."
That said, I'm of the opinion that patch 4.0.3a will probably fix more problems than it creates, and releasing on Tuesday still gives them a couple days to deal with anything that comes up before the holiday, so I'm not at all certain but I'd say it's not unreasonable to expect it to drop this coming Tuesday despite the coming US holiday.
kabshiel Nov 21st 2010 5:30PM
This close to the expansion's release, I doubt the developers are going to be having much of a holiday anyway.

@The Pirate
As much as you may want to deny it, the developers are American, meaning they will likely take the week off. It's not that they don't care about the EU. But considering they are unlikely to give some region an advantage over another, I wouldn't hold my breath.
Cure4Living Nov 22nd 2010 12:18AM
@Artificial don't play on the EU servers much hey :P
Although normally not the case, we do sometimes get a little less attention then American side of things. For example we normally tend to get patches a week or so after US. Although I'm guessing the shattering isn't just another Raid/Content patch so Blizzard might decide to give it a worldwide release.
Achnos Nov 22nd 2010 10:07AM
@cure4living thats not true, we usually get the patch the day after they get it in the US.

Why the change to the PvP tab? All it shows is current honor. There is no "how much you've gained today" or number of HKs. Do I have to go to the statistics tab to see my HKs or is there an easier way?
I'm really not a fan of how they've spread out the tabs and changed them. It just seems like they've changed stuff that needn't be changed...
sccorp.sc Nov 21st 2010 2:29PM
I agree. I rather enjoyed having a dedicated tab to my Honor Kills/Arena Ratings. While they have the tabs set up for BG/Arena rating, and this I enjoy, I don't see the difficulty in simply added total honor kills on one of those tabs (or creating an additional tab for it).
Seems a little convaluted that I have to go through my achievements interface to find my total honor kills... Even if it's only 6 clicks of your mouse, 6 >1, and it's mostly about convenience.
sccorp.sc Nov 21st 2010 2:31PM
**convoluted
ziggler Nov 21st 2010 3:54PM
what i find even weirder is that in a blue post/patch notes (cant remember exactly) they stated that the honor kills display was being removed, as if it was something good.
Cant imagine a single reason to remove it (other then shrinking my e-peen, i miss the "holy crap, u have 200k hks!?!?!).
Vaeku Nov 21st 2010 6:44PM
The PvP tab didn't even work correctly. It kept displaying HKs for "yesterday", when "yesterday" was 3-4 days ago.
Noyou Nov 21st 2010 8:21PM
the PvP tab wasn't totally accurate but I would rather have some idea than no idea. Hopefully they can figure something out. It was kind of nice being able to see how many points I got for popping some punk in GS or any of the other places I like to defend :)
Glasscannon Nov 21st 2010 2:08PM
Any bets on when the Shattering is happening? I wanna know if I should level my 70 alt up, or save the rest bonus and wait for the 20% bonus that, I understand, 4.03a brings.
The Pirate Nov 21st 2010 2:27PM
The 20% reduction of XP Needed has already happened. It was in 4.03
