The cooking boost is great, but it's annoying that we can't mail the ingredients or the cooked food because of the limited duration. I gathered a massive pile of turkeys on one character, only to find out I had to trade them to a friend so he could trade them to my alt. This also means that I can't just do all the cooking on my character with the Chef's hat. Having to use a courier to get the food to my alts negates the time savings.
