For Ferocity pets Glyph of Mend Pet (which every hunter should have, considering the alternatives) makes the Bloodthirsty talent all but a waste of points, as it isn't a DPS increase and Boar's Speed would be a better choice.

Also, Shark Attack > Wild Hunt. WH is focus dependent while SA is a flat increase, which is always better especially in an unpredictable PvE leveling environment where your pet could be dealing with multiple mobs.

I like the one point in Bloodthirsty. It's a little bit of extra healing and I never even have to wonder about Happiness. A big thing? Naw, but it's a nice little quality of life thing.
