@Dawn Moore: I do actually have a Husqvarna Viking 910 serger, but it's no good for detail work like tiny faces and little curves around little paws, fur is still a notoriously difficult fabric to get to behave in a sewing machine. I think we're looking at Pfaff right now, something with a top feed to help me turn corners a bit better.

@Matthew: A giraffe print jacket sounds amazing. You should go for it! I hope you give it a hood, so you can give it giraffe "horns" and a nice fluffy mane, too. Maybe even a little giraffe tail.
