WoW Insider is looking for a new enhancement shaman columnist

WoW Insider is looking for a new writer to be our weekly enhancement shaman class columnist for Totem Talk. Every week, you will dazzle our readers with your words of wisdom covering everything from leveling guides to raid tactics to DPS rotations to major patch analyses to recommended addons for all specs and playstyles. You don't need to play all those ways (we all need a life), but you need to be able to research and write on the topics you don't have personal experience with.
If this sounds like the chance you've been waiting for, you'll find all the information you need to apply on our applications page. Be sure to submit everything asked for under the columnist section. Being able to follow simple instructions is part of the job. You have until end of day, Sunday, Nov. 28 to send in your application.
EDIT: Applications are closed. The chosen candidate will be contacted by end of day Tuesday, Nov 30. And, if we're lucky, will be up and running next week just in time for Cataclysm!

What happened to Stoney? Is he going to dedicate himself more full-time to his guild and his show?
(btw one final plug for Stoneybaby - http://www.bigcrits.com/site/index.php Big Crits is a pretty fun thing to watch, I've personally enjoyed it. A lot of drama, a lot of characters with character. Just all-around quality viewing.)

man, stoneybaby seemed like such a cool guy too. I watched a few of them and thought they were interesting, but he was the guy who helped me become competitive on my enhance shammy. it's my favorite spec ever, I don't know why it doesn't get that much love from the public (or at least the people I know).

Quick question, though, about the application. This is probably a very silly question, but....When it says three sample posts -- as this is a class/spec columnist position, I assume you'd want those three posts to be, well, about enhance as well?
Just asking, because I am considering applying (my main and only 80 is and will always be enhancement mainspec!) but could also provide some samples on RP / Lore. :)

Oh for christ sakes, we can't keep a Shaman columnist to save our lives. Rossi abandoned us (I'm still sad about that), and we've had what, three or four elemental columnists since then and now we're getting a new enh columnist? Joe Perez, be very, very careful, you're clearly next.

Try the Warlock column. They can't keep editors, either.
People started asking "Where's the Warlock editor?", a few weeks later a new one came in.
I bet we will see fewer Warlock columns, and a new editor will be brought in, again.

Is it certain that he's going, though? I mean it could be possible that they'll just take turns in posts, couldn't it? And I really hope that's the case, recent Enh posts have been excellent, atleast for me anyways-I don't even play Enh anymore, either.

I bet all the Shaman columnists got an invitation to a cool party in Goldshire, and when everyone was there and having fun discussiong our favorite class, Deathwing 1 shot the entire zone :-/

Binkenstein didn't last 3 months. Stoney wasn't around, what, a year?
