WoW Insider Show Episode 168: It is here

And yes folks, sorry for the lateness. Between an initial delay in recording and then my coming down with some crud, the podcast hung in limbo a bit. But the good news is there'll be another new one tomorrow!

Funnily enough, while going through Nagrand just this morning, I myself wondered how ogros reproduce ...

In an odd way, I kinda feel like everything that Arthas and the Lich King did, was in an effort to prepare the world for the coming of Deathwing. That he knew, on some level, whether as Nerzul or just as the Lich king, that there was this great evil coming. Something far worse than he would ever be. However he knows that there's no way to make the Horde and Alliance bind together to fight Deathwing, so he (LK) does everything he can to force them to build up their armies. The best way to do that is give them a common enemy in himself.

We had a similar theory going back when people first started theorizing about a second "Outlands" like expansion... except instead of for Deathwing it was for the Burning Legion. Unite everyone with death under one king to fight together--whether they like it or not. It made sense--continues to make sense, could very well be possible--the Lich King and the Legion have some history, and certainly don't like each other very much. A lot of us almost expected when we got to Arthas to find him using the majority of the Scourge to slay invading demons (this would tie into Arthas' "greater good wtih evil" thing he's got going).

I agree with McCurley about the Lich King. He is/was the ultimate bad in the World of Warcraft. Deathwing... sure he's a huge cool dragon, but he wasn't Arthas.

I can't seem to find the Varian Wrynn as a woman they were talking about in the podcast

I went looking for female Varian Wrynns and found this: http://www.freewebs.com/elegant-wings/femalevarian.jpg which isn't bad, although it does make her look kinda more cutesy than she should be. Male Varian has a really square face, all sharp angles. It's pretty good though, I'd follow female Varian.
We certainly need more female leaders, it seems that the Horde and Alliance have a token female on each side, with Jaina tacked to the side of the Alliance like a third wheel. I'd settle for Tyrande actually *doing* something other than sitting in the Temple of the Moon and looking pretty in her (admittedly) gorgeous dress. She needs to pick up her bow, hop back on her giant tiger, and go back to sticking arrows into orcs.

Great podcast, as usually, always entertaining to listen to. I'd also like to add a vote to a monthly KYL-cast idea: I was genuinely sad when you guys stopped debating Varian Wrynn (on both the better-as-a-woman topic AND on covering his character arcs and wow history). It was the most entertaining part of this particular cast for me!
Anyway, kudos on a great job, looking forward to the next one.

Love the podcast, as always. You guys are fantastic and I love your insight into the lore as well as your competency with the game.
Two small pieces of constructive criticism:
- singing over the top of people who are talking doth not make good listening (all we hear is a jumbled mishmash of noise and tune);
- the word 'Scourge' is pronounced 'skerj'. It is a word in the English language, meaning "something causing misery or death" or "a person who inspires fear or dread", and has never been commonly pronounced by any people group as 'skorje' (i.e. it is not an acceptable difference in pronunciation, like 'herb' as 'erb').
