Cataclysm annotated map adventure
My hat is off to Mr. Cox for this work. He's really knocked the ball out of the park with this interactive guide, and I hope it gets lots of attention. He's provided not only some great views of the area, but he also does some narration of the critical stories that take place in the zones.
Be sure to take your time when you start exploring Mr. Cox's work. He put a lot of detail and effort into this guided tour, and it can take a long, long time to get through it all.

Just watching this has made me want to go and do these quests. Level 80 or not, I want them. I need them all. Beforehand with the loremaster stuff, I didn't really enjoy having to go through all the quests in pre-Cata. Now...everything...even the starter zones...I'm pumped. I'm officially pumped.
OMG, I WANT MY DWARF SHAMAN AND DWARF MAGE! SQUEEEEEEEE!

Might want to point out the massive spoilers in this :-p I was in for quite a shock looking at the goblin starting zone

Amazing work, great job.

Excellent, but spoilerific. I plan to return and watch them all at some point, but after watching one of them (Kiloneedle) I've decided it tells me more than I actually want to know going into some of these areas. It turns out, some of these quest lines have *major* plot twists, which I'm overjoyed to see, and am very glad to see that this is the case, but it's strengthened my resolve to not view any more spoiler-laden material until I've had a crack at the new stuff.

With ya on that. Last week I decided that enough was enough for spoilers. I've avoided most old-zone revamps but I've sealed myself off from anything new that is spoilerific. I hope to be completely clean next (crazy) expansion though instead of starting three weeks prior to release.

I clicked Kalimdor.
Then I clicked Durotar.
Then I watched the video.
I have never wanted to kill Alliance so bad in my whole life.
Wildstaff Nov 23rd 2010 4:58PM
I will be rewatching these when I get home. I love jesse's work and I wish him much success in the future even if he doesn't get hired by blizzard. "What's up with that Alex?"
slickblueskin1973 Nov 23rd 2010 5:08PM
Very cool!

I got started from the top of Kalimdor but I had to stop after Ashenvale. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle cata seeing as they've really put the war back in warcraft, I play both factions and it makes me really sad to see the horrible things that happen to each side. I think it's probably the feeling a parent gets seeing their two children fighting all the time.
Maribel Nov 23rd 2010 6:18PM
I hear you. I play both sides too, and I always liked the idea that there could be peace between the factions. I foresee a lot of mixed emotions as I level two Horde and two Alliance alts in Cata.
Ashenvale was the first video I checked, because I felt oddly territorial about it after leveling a couple of night elves and several Draenei. I was kind of relieved to see the night elves apparently fighting back, and mostly sad to see a place I think of as so peaceful turned into a war zone. I know, it was never really peaceful, but it wasn't always ON FIRE.

Really nice. Now if they could just get the servers back up.....
gamer Nov 23rd 2010 5:47PM
That is INSANELY awesome. Many props!

Jesse Cox is the man, and the best voice actor ever!
WaterRouge Nov 23rd 2010 6:15PM
I didn't watch most of these videos but out of all of them I was most thankful for RFC. Knowing that the quests for the dungeon will (mostly) be IN the dungeon is so very awesome. No more flight path hoping just for one run! Is this for every dungeon or just RFC though?
