World shattering complete; U.S. servers back up

The good news: Servers are coming back up, at least for those in the United States! You can log on and enjoy World of Warcraft again, ahead of the previously announced 5 p.m. PST time.
The bad news: Some dragon-ish rapscallion has totally shattered the world over the course of the last 12 hours or so. Whoops.

hehe the servers may be up but actually getting past the login screen without being disconnected is another story! ;-)

You may need to rerun the launcher. There is a problem getting to toons in the Eastern Kingdoms.
Toons in Auberdine, for example, are just fine.
P.S. I am in the new world and am so disoriented.

On my realm I got discon 3x trying to use the blasted lands portal from Exodar and Darnassus. Interesting note: there is now a portal to/from Darnassus and Exodar in their respective city. Very cool and nice timing if you haven't done the Pilgrims bounty run around :) Also interesting where my toons ended up: only one was in the GY (Darnassus) while the 2 I logged onto in Dalaran (Mage :p) and Exodar were fine in the city. I love the new loading screens and the Darnassus city map now has a cool background.

@Noyou - there is no Pilgrim's Bounty run around fun to be had.
Alliance: get inside Org onto a zeppelin to get to Thunderbluff
Horde: boat rides from Stormwind to hit Darnassus and Exodar
For those looking for easy HKs, camp your respective travel points...

As someone who has one parent in hospital as well - i salute your prioritys - I too will not see the new azeroth - until the hospital kicks me out at the end of visiting time.
