The good news: Servers are coming back up, at least for those in the United States! You can log on and enjoy World of Warcraft again, ahead of the previously announced 5 p.m. PST time.
The bad news: Some dragon-ish rapscallion has totally shattered the world over the course of the last 12 hours or so. Whoops.

From what i have read on the wow forums, if you are getting disconnected when trying to log in, it is probably because you have had the wow client open for a while waiting for the servers to be up and running, and didnt get the little bit of extra patch that they recently added. They say that closing it and opening the launcher again to dl the remaining stuff should fix it.
I have no idea if this is actually the case, but it might help ;)

3 1/2 hours until I get home....wonder how many add-ons will be broken (I expect maps to be broken). Also, now I have a tough decision, do I continue to level my 45 Shaman knowing full well I won't get to 80 by Dec. 7 (I have a 80 ready and waiting to level). Or do I try the new starter zones and start leveling a Preist or Lock (I have cloth shoulders and chest). Decisions, decisions. I wish we could level a Worgen....can't wait to start my good little Worgen Hunter Fuzzytoes.

If you are having time logging in make sure you patch before you login, I had issues just going in directly without using the launch pad.

Help! I kept getting either a "lost connection to downloader" error or a connection timeout error at the launcher. I can't even get in the game. I've tried EVERYTHING. Please help.
