WoW Insider's Weekly Webcomic: Safe Passage
Welcome to another edition of the WoW Insider's Weekly Comic, Safe Passage. This comic takes place post-Cataclysm, so there will be minor spoilers.
As our unlikely heroes stop for the night, a cunning predator begins to dog their every move ...
Also, enjoy Safe Passage the way it is now, as my bosses have already approved the hip, new version of this comic. Enjoy Mig'u Hatsune, everyone.
Check out the full comic right here, and tune in next Tuesday morning for a new page. You can also see all the previous pages in the gallery below.

Now this is an interesting development. As far as I can remember, this is the first serious Kaldorei character Kelly has written into her WoW comics, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this one plays out.
And before anybody here starts judging this Night Elf for assuming the worst, I'd like to remind everyone of another supply caravan that was raided in Ashenvale. The supplies were all stolen, and the Sentinels escorting it were stripped and flayed (quite possibly while they were still alive), their bodies chopped to pieces to be carried off by scavengers and their skins hung from a tree upon which a horde emblem was painted in fresh Kaldorei blood...

As long as the Orc dies before the mistake is discovered, I'll be happy. :)

Eeeew, when did this happen?

Happened in the Shattering book, by the Twlight's Hammer.
And I personally doubt that the elves were completely flayed while the were still alive. The Twilight's might have started while the were still alive (and yes, according to my research, flaying does in fact hurt like a bitch), but, for the human body at least, you will die from shock, blood loss, or infection long before they can completely skin you.

Flaying has been used throughout (RL) human history, and while I doubt it is survivable, it is certainly possible to do without killing the victim immediately.
Of course, it is unclear whether the Sentinels in the Ashenvale incident were alive or dead when they were subjected to this. In the book, it is simply reported to Varian that there is no way of telling, due to the severity of the corpses' mutilation.

I love this comic...I can not wait to see what these guys do next...

Is it me, or does the first panel look a little stretched vertically?
Other than that, another awesome comic. Thanks Kelly!

The plot thickens...

FYI for Ms. Aarons: To "break camp" means to pack up to leave. In the comic, they would be setting up camp if they were getting ready to rest for the night.

Up-voted for truth!

Oops! >_>;;
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind next time. XD

"make camp" would also work.

Loving the comic so far. But--is it just me or does the troll seem much smaller in this page than in the others?
