Comments like that are really, REALLY unnecessary.

The reasoning for the change (stated somewhere, once upon a time) was to encourage people to experiment with other meta gems. If the bonus from the relentless earthsiege diamond or the chaotic skyflare diamond was *worth it* compared to the offensive stats you'd lose (agility, intellect or strength), then you'd use the relentless earthsiege or chaotic skyflare accordingly. Additionally, if you were doing excellent DPS prior to the change, you'll still do excellent DPS -- regardless of the meta gem you use.
