Well, considering that my main is a shadow priest, it really isn't too big of a deal. With the 100% spirit-<hit conversion talent, it's really nice to gem spirit as I can use my DPS gear for both DPS and healing. (Spirit is the mana regen stat for healers, in case you didn't know.)

In Cataclysm content, healers are going to have mana issues and everyone is going to have to favor their own survivability in order to help the healers out. So even stamina gems will look attractive for DPS classes as it'll give the healers more breathing room to save your stupid ass from standing in the fire if they need it. You know, if you're not one of the thousands of selfish DPS players who only cares about how they look on meters and not the overall success of the raid.
