I don't have any scribe characters- but this change leads me to ask what exactly they do for gold now. Glyphs used to be reasonably profitable, and I know I kept the scribes of my realm busy making Vellum so I could sell overpriced enchants, but it seems now they don't really have a niche...

Inscription could become the next Engineering ~ mostly "useful" for the scribe, with the occasional crafted product placed on the auction house.First sign of death: you have to choose between "blood elf" or "night elf" inscription. Second sign of death: the game designers call it "fun" and "creative". Third sign of death: "silly" products, like x-ray glasses... er, I mean "comic books."Time of death: they let you make scribe-only mounts.Seriously though, in the PvP Arena that is the auction house, not every profession is going to be balanced, nor will it even be competitive.Never too late to switch to alchemy...

Darkmoon cards?Or perhaps Blizz will kill two birds with one stone (mages having monopoly on portals) and allow scribes to craft teleportation scrolls :P

Selling glyphs, off hand items, relics, DMF trinkets, and potentially dust of disappearance. Please, feel free to assume there's no money to be made. Just leaves more for me and anyone else who's able to do math.

You forgot the third sign: Inscription bonuses are not usable in Arena and will not be usable in rated BG's.

Darkmoon cards, relics, forged documents, offhands, milling, and glyphs still sell decently.

I wonder what would be an inscription only mount. A lifesize oragimi Gryphon? I know I can't speak for all scribes, but I might be willing to make that trade. Just gotta be carefull not to fly to close to the water.

/shrugI still make at least 5k a day selling glyhs.

selling glyphs is still the highest volume money maker of any profession - even though the mats are triple and the are single use only. I make a lot of money on other professions, but inscription is easily the best one for me to make the most at (with JC being a close second). Now, engineering... let me tell you about that!

Agreed. Engineering is the only profession that truly needs some love. Scribe/Engineer on my main. Love 'em both, for different reasons.
