Hey i know this is offtopic but ive JUST got a new PC today. How would i go about reinstalling WoW on it? Should i reinstall all discs 1 by 1? Or can i just install WotLK and then patch 4.03a?

Log into your battle.net account, click on "My Games" I think then, WoW should be there for you to re-download.

As far as I know, the WotLK DVD has both previous iterations of the game already on it, and will install them. So no need to blow the dust off of your old WoW CDs, WotLK will do just fine.

Just install the Wrath disc and it will patch in the rest of the updates.

This has been answered before, just put your wow program file on a usb and switch it over. Or you can wait two weeks and just put the cata disc inside it. i think it will install the game and the other xpacs.

Thanks a lot guys. I just upgraded to a new PC today. Was considered a dream PC in 2008, now its just good, still its leaps and bounds better than my old PC which struggled to play Vanilla WoW on Medium! Ill set to work installing WotLK in about an hour then ill start patching before i go to sleep. Give it the night to patch.

Xpack Question: do you need Cataclysm to play the new bg's? (assuming you can play them at lower-than-max level)
Ice Nov 27th 2010 5:03PM
You could play SoTA without xpack. Also limiting twin peaks to only cata lowbies would mean noone would run it at start so much..think of new people who dont want to get all of em when they start the game, they would turn into twink fest all over again.
I would say no, xpack not required unless the place needs to be 81-85

I still think it's silly that you're not allowed to play rated Arathi Basin if you happen to log in during the wrong week. It's like saying you're only allowed to play 3v3 arenas during the first half of the month and 5v5s during the second half.

It is kinda of weird, but I guess it would be harder to have enough people on either side if they didn't restrict it like that. I mean, if you could play any one of the 10man or 15man battlegrounds at any time, and you picked say, AB, you'd probably always be going up against the same one or two teams that also picked AB. So then you'd probably only get a queue pop when those teams were actually playing, the same as they'd only get queue pops when you were playing.
It would just suck, frankly. Queue times would be ridiculously long for everyone involved.
