For those of you not able to snag a
collector's edition of
Cataclysm or who've put off the purchase, Amazon now has collector's editions
in stock. In addition, the explicit option for release day delivery exists, if you pre-order now with the option selected. Your shipping cost may vary, but when I plugged in my information, delivery only cost $0.99. Jump on this now, before it all goes the way of Old Azeroth.

Mir is correct (except that I get the feeling "Superthrust" isn't thinking of a different book but rather some spin - AKA lies - regarding that book), and if "Superthrust" doesn't change his tune after learning the facts, well, I have to say there's something horribly wrong with you. In any case, your attack on theeternalsacred is uncalled for. Amazon took that book down, however - but only after their defense of the decision to allow it in the first place didn't placate the masses.

Okay, seriously, Amazon took the book down. It was up for over a week? Oh no, Amazon erring on the side of caution when removing books from their listings? Do we not remember this fiasco?
http://www.weberbooks.com/selling/2009/04/glitch-hid-adult-and-gay-books-on-amazon-company-claims.html
And that was just about HIDING the listings. Can you imagine the flak if they'd removed the book completely from their listings without being sure?
And that's not even taking into account the fact that Amazon is a huge company with bureaucracy to deal with, which slows things down as well.
I don't think it's worth a boycott.

99 cent shipping confirmed.
mrzebra Nov 29th 2010 5:22PM
Woohoo - this allowed me to update my shipping address! I had moved since I put in my pre-order, but I wasn't allowed to update my shipping address AND keep my release-date delivery. I even tried again this morning, but they were out of stock at that time. Thanks for letting me know about this!
Klausse Nov 29th 2010 5:25PM
Ugh - double post. Please downrate the second one.
Saeadame Nov 29th 2010 5:28PM
I'd just like to note that the faster shipping method is only available if you're in the US. I just tried to change it for my order, and the fastest is still Priority International, even though I'm seriously not that far from the border. /sigh.

Go Go Amazon Prime. Free Shipping and Release Date Delivery.
Mir Nov 29th 2010 5:37PM
It's not a cool story bro. It's true.
Not that I'll personally stop ordering stuff from them over it (trying to police the million and one publications that people sell through Amazon is a big freakin job), but to the people downrating the original poster, he's actually telling the truth. That book exists. The posting on the internect how sky is falling guy is actually not spouting inane jibberish for once.
splodesondeath Nov 29th 2010 5:53PM
I hear Amazon is also run by LIZARD PEOPLE.
They're out to get us all! Why do you think it's called Amazon? Because that's WHERE THEY LIVE!
Mir Nov 29th 2010 6:50PM
Retarded downraters are retarded. Why don't you first take the time to fully read my post where I DID NOT BLAME Amazon (actually first pull your heads out your asses then read), and then actually spend a bit of time researching what the hell I was talking about. Whoever made the comment that the book was about living with pedophelia is talking about a completely different book. This one quite clearly advertised (in BIG BOLD LETTERS) luring methods and ways to avoid detection by law enforcement.
I guess when I expect people here to actually read an entire paragraph before downvoting, I'm expecting far too much.
Saeadame Nov 29th 2010 6:53PM
@Mir, I suggest you also read the response Super gave. Sometimes there are books on controversial subjects or written by people with controversial ideas. This doesn't make these it any less interesting to read as insight into these controversial ideas. Reading these books doesn't make you more likely to go out and rape children, in the same way that listening to crazy rock/punk/whatever music about killing people doesn't make you more likely to go out and kill someone.

I wanted the Collector's Edition, but when I went to pre order at my local Brick&Mortar store, they told me they were already out. So I plunked down the full retail price for my pre-order of the regular version (I'll just walk over and get it and walk home) and went about my way.
They said that they would call me if any more became available though.
Wraithanne Nov 29th 2010 6:18PM
Canceled the Gamestop preorder, ordered this. If nothing else I don't have to keep staring at Backordered for another week.
Meg Nov 29th 2010 10:14PM
Me too! Gamestop was gonna charge me $20 for NEXT-day shipping! Screw that!
unpossible Nov 29th 2010 7:02PM
Amazon link indicates the CE is sold out.
Sir Kanotana Nov 29th 2010 6:55PM
I love you WoW Insider, Love, love, love you!
Without this there was no way I would have been able to snag the collectors edition.
Im happy to wait till the 10th to play Cata (I live in Australia) for the glory of the collectors box! :'D
Drakkenfyre Nov 29th 2010 11:46PM
You do realize that the US version is region-specific, right? The CD key won't work with EU versions and vice-versa. I have no idea about the Australian version, but if you ordered from the US Amazon site, you might get a copy that won't work for you.
pancakes Nov 30th 2010 5:39AM
Australians play on American servers, so i think compatibility is a non-issue.
Drakkenfyre Nov 30th 2010 11:24AM
Yes, I know Oceanic servers are actually American, but for account upgrade purposes. If it were to have a region-specific CD key, it would reject it.
That's why I said I don't know. but am warning just in case.
kunukia Nov 29th 2010 6:58PM
They canceled my order ages ago, so I ordered from Walmart. A week or two ago, they emailed me that I could get it again, so I am getting a release day copy from Walmart, and one from Amazon for later resale on Ebay, or if there is a desperate guildie, I might weaken, and let them have it at cost.
