You forgot to mention that early on ammo only stacked to 200: so 2000 rounds meant giving up 2/3 of your backpack. Or having to find a stable master whenever you wanted to call a new pet (prior to 3.1.0)

And there was no explosive shot, you had to run up and lay out your traps where you HOPED a mob would walk. Then you'd fire Distracting Shot and hope the tank didn't get more aggro on it than you did (because by then, he was pulling aggro from the next instance, even). THEN another dps-er would target your frozen mob and break the trap.
And we had to walk five miles in the snow to get to our next quest, uphill both ways.
