NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION!
It has started already... *sigh*..
not only do the wippersnappers have a plethera of informed guides and spreadsheets to brouse today, they dont need to have a degree in Astro Physics to understand the graphs and tables that accompanied the early sites.
Not to mention the obscure and quite often unfounded results and conclusions.
This Oldie is still getting comments such as "why is there always 1000 pages of lock specs and rotations and virtually nothing on hunters". " I cant find any information on SV spec and rotation". " Does my PET look big in this?".......... *shudders*.
Time for this Old-Timer to take his medication and wave goodbye to the real world, and dream of a utopian world where I dont have to buy ammo, and surround myself with many loyal pets, "Ohh SlobberChops, go grab me the morning paper and my slippers... theres a good boy"..

Not enough information? Back in the day you had Elitist Jerks and Big Red Kitty; today you've got Warcraft Hunter's Union, Huntsman's Lodge, FemaleDwarf, and Petopia. There was and always will be TONS of information, Frost just does a much better job of testing and justifying the information than most other sites, and keeps it all nice and organized (for which I am immensely grateful).
Sure, some things were tougher here and there - it sure is nice to have more pets in the menagerie, the ability to leap backward 13 yards, and an interesting rotation in the Beast Mastery tree - but life was pretty sweet in other ways. Back in my day we had a reticle-based, non target-based AoE Volley you could use anywhere within 35 yards of the hunter, including behind you. Not only that, but its AoE damage cap stacked with Explosive Trap, and back then your resource pool almost NEVER emptied in a raid environment with all the mana-regeneration buffs available.
Don't even get me started on PvP.
In some ways the kiddies have it easier now but I, for one, already miss the good ol' days.

Re: Boz.
Back in the day [vanilla], some of us considered going outside the game for information 'cheating'. If you can't figure it out for your damn self, you aren't worthy of my time.
And we LIKED it. [no, not really, but the grumpy ol' man in me had to say it].
Volley made hunters lazy and stupid. And how I miss it so....
[and yes, Volley made hunters stupid -- I had MORE THAN ONE group in Wrath where all the hunter did [when I was healing or tanking] was SEND PET and volley. EVEN ON THE BOSSES. We got called Huntards for a reason.]
