That is certainly something I'll never miss; the days of no dual spec.
Why back in BC, when I first started to raid, I had a hybrid holy/disc spec on my priest and kept it for the whole expansion. I simply couldn't keep up with constantly having to pay and respec. After all, there were no good dailies back in early BC.
But then Wrath came out. And I started to raid Naxx on my shaman, and holy shit did I play the respec gods then. Every other raid I had to switch between Elemental combat and Restoration. And when I needed to heal/dps, I was never already the spec they wanted me to be. Oh no, that'd be to convent. It was a godsend that the respec cost capped out at 50 gold. Sure, that may seem like a lot, but I would be up to 200 gold respecs if the cap didn't exist.
I may have no hunter of my own, but by god, I fully understand.
Though my favorite change that hunters complain about is not having enough talents for their pets. Talents, ha! I tried to explain to someone how training points worked, they became very, very lost.
