Cataclysm poster signed by the devs up on eBay
If you're looking for a holiday gift or just something really awesome to decorate your walls, head over to eBay and see if you can be lucky enough to get/afford a Cataclysm poster signed by the development team. This poster has original signatures signed right on it (unlike the one last year, which was surrounded by some confusion). It's really a unique and special piece of Warcraft history -- very much a collector's item.
And best of all, I think, is that proceeds go to support the Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue.
Good luck with your bidding!

Too bad all the "I BROKE YOUR WORLD" ruined this image for me. ;)

I couldn't bring myself to do that many meme's in one post. I see you had no such limitations. I have to go /facepalm now. Thanks Adam Holisky.

So we've learned that at Blizzard Horde > Alliance, and Dogs > Cats.
shadowhowl1900 Nov 30th 2010 12:48PM
i think besides each of the signature there should be "..broke your world"
Twowolves Nov 30th 2010 12:52PM
I love puppies as much as the next guy, but in these troubled times, Blizz couldn't find a local food bank or shelter to help?
Tri Nov 30th 2010 12:56PM
So.. you complain about the particular choice of charity? ...
i'm sure the retrievers are crying now :(
Jay Nov 30th 2010 12:56PM
Go read the auction again:
"A Huge Thanks to the husband of one of our Orange County Volunteers, a member of the Development Team who graciously gathered signatures from his Teammates"
It was (probably) done by someone inside the development team, not someone high up :p

I see it happening kinda like this:
From: Super Dev Team Member
CC: The Rest of the Dev Team
Subject: Helping Puppies
Hey guys, my wife works for the Retrievers' Rescue. I think it'd be really cool if we could get the dev team to sign this poster I bought from the company store, then we can auction it to make some money for 'em! Who's up to help some PUPPIES??
From: Supervisor
CC: Dev Team
Subject: RE: Helping Puppies
Just a reminder not to do this on company time and not to imply Blizzard endorses this organization, worthy as it is.
Good luck! And uh, where do I sign?

See. Over in the Moonkin/Rag Pet post I said that someone would find a way to bitch if Blizzard donated 100% of an item to charity. Thank you for proving my point.
Spider Nov 30th 2010 2:44PM
Truthfully I would rather donate money to animal organizations anyways. *shrug*
MusedMoose Nov 30th 2010 7:45PM
Man, people will complain about *anything*. I swear, if I somehow inherited several billion dollars and bought every single member of this site a new house fully furnished and wired for the ultimate WoW experience along with full maid and maintenance and gardening service, I'd get dozens of people bitching at me about the floor plans or the carpeting. Sheesh.
Josin Nov 30th 2010 12:59PM
I was going to say "in before complaints about charity from Blizz" but Twowolves beat me.
Seriously... 50% of Moonkin sales to Make-A-Wish, full proceeds from this to help dogs... And still people complain. They don't HAVE to do anything.
I'm glad to give my money to a company that makes charitable donations at all.
Tirrimas Nov 30th 2010 1:01PM
The impression I get is that Blizz isn't behind this auction at all, beyond donating some ink for the poster. It's not being done in Blizz' name.
Ulurjah Nov 30th 2010 1:14PM
I hate to be a stick in the mud, but that ebay listing may be fraudulent. The listing claims that the posters are the only 3 of that poster with dev signatures in existence, and any other would be a "copy".
Well, I went to Blizzcon this year and I bought the Diablo 3 poster and the Cataclysm poster and then waited around at the appropriate times at the meet the devs and get their autograph area and got loads of autographs on my posters. I'm not sure the Cata poster is the exact same one as it's currently rolled up in the tube awaiting a frame so I can hang it (I wanted the D3 one up first!).
Apart from that ... awesome that at least $1500 is being raised for charity thanks to some cool folks at Blizzard!
Aaron Nov 30th 2010 3:36PM
When I read "Bizzcon" (no L) I must admit I scratched my head a little bit, but that's also where they sort of address that. I dunno.. haha
Aaron Nov 30th 2010 3:51PM
Looking at all the other stuff they have listed, I would say it's legit.
splodesondeath Nov 30th 2010 2:15PM
More like Blizzard...

...house-broke the world.
