WoW Insider's Weekly Webcomic: Safe Passage
Welcome to another edition of the WoW Insider's Weekly Comic, Safe Passage. This comic takes place post-Cataclysm, so there will be minor spoilers.
Our groups' unwanted -- and so far unseen -- visitor has made herself known. The tension in the air is palpable.
On a more technical note, I'm trying something new with textures. It's not very noticeable, but I think it gives the page a little something. What do you guys think? Keep or toss?
Check out the full comic right here, and tune in next Tuesday morning for a new page. You can also see all the previous pages in the gallery below.

''Your target resisted Shadowmeld''
Anxiously waiting for next week :(

"Elf used snappy one liner."
"It was super effective."
Zanaji Nov 30th 2010 3:08PM
Love the eyes of the NE when she's first spoken to.
Takshash Nov 30th 2010 3:08PM
I'm a fan of the textures. They aren't obtrusive and in the spaces you use them function better than just the starkness of white-space.
Also: Crap, things just got real. I hope it doesn't escalate immediately to violence. Perhaps the Nelf will decide "I know exactly what I need to do ... and that's trade whittling tips!"
Martinel Nov 30th 2010 3:09PM
"I'm no Warsong grunt."
I am so using that in my roleplay.
jealouspirate Nov 30th 2010 3:26PM
Another good Orc line for roleplay is "I am da powerful! Nobody tell me what to do!"
Cadychan Nov 30th 2010 3:28PM
"Something you doing?" :D
(cutaia) Nov 30th 2010 3:40PM
Whatever happened to a good ol', "Me not that kind of orc"?
Drakkenfyre Nov 30th 2010 4:04PM
I hate to correct you, Cady, but it's "Something need doing?"
It's a common mistake with that line, if you are quoting WarCraft 2/WarCraft 3.

@(cutaia): I forget which server it was on, but I came across the guild "Me AM that Kind of Orc". Totally made my day.
WAGH BOZZ GORE GUTZ Nov 30th 2010 8:00PM

Damn, that was awesome.
Got me all pumped for next week.
niko Nov 30th 2010 3:15PM
haha! Great story frames this week!
pietrex Nov 30th 2010 3:15PM
I simply LOVE the way you draw trolls, even though I'm not a huge fan of the race in-game. This shaman is awesome even in his sleep.
roseclown Nov 30th 2010 3:24PM
Yes, her trolls are awesome. I still want that ghost-troll-wolf as a background...
Kajira Nov 30th 2010 3:20PM
Gah. I can't read the orc's voice without hearing Chris Metzen!
Radioted Nov 30th 2010 3:32PM
I bet the Night Elf wishes she had used Camouflage...
Zoots Nov 30th 2010 3:37PM
My only thought is that he probably could have handeled this a little better. A member of the Alliance is probably going to be concerned about the children being in Horde hands, and instead of a threat gutting her if she trys to rescue the children, instead telling her they were on the way to Fort Triumph to return them, and a cliff notes version of what they found of the wreckage. It would probably go a long way into resolving any conflict.
Then again, as I think about it further... then it wouldn't be Warcraft would it?
roseclown Nov 30th 2010 3:51PM
Plus, Orcs aren't exactly known for their diplomacy.
...Unless that happens to be the name of their Axe.
Kunikenwad! Nov 30th 2010 3:52PM
And why should he have to defend his actions? The children clearly aren't harmed. They're not on spits, roasting above the fire. Why is it ok for the night elf to assume that they're bloodthirsty savages? Shouldn't SHE take stock of the situation instead of trying to sneak up and attack the orc while his back is turned?
