The centaur were probably yet another result of Curse of Flesh. What we know about the curse is its victims have lost the imbued attributes by their original creators, Titans, gods, demigods, etc. So that they became vulnerable to chaotic forces. However, they can never lose their ability to redeem themselves. All they need is an opportunity and a proper guidance.I suspect that, when human at first were abandoned by their vrykul parents and had to grow up as a race, there was such a guidance too. I am thinking Tyr.

except no, this article isn't speculation it's established canon, there's no having another opinion about it. Additionally i believe tyr is dead, striken down in the war with the old gods, but there's no official word on that so you may have an opinion on that. I also heard it suggested that tyr might have become Vezax.
