The only place I've heard anyone talking about the cap being raised was in wishful thinking (from commenters) like the above.

Why would they raise the cap? Because you managed to hit the cap the day the JP system was implemented is not a reason; it's pretty much the argument FOR the cap.

If there's going to be any cap raising, it will be when the tier 11 gear comes out; there are other ways to deal with the migration of t10 to JP, of course, but it's really, really unlikely that you'll see a change before then.
