Around Azeroth: Lookin' good in the neighborhood
Many of us have been cleaning out our banks in preparation for Cataclysm, tossing away old holiday rewards, spare trade goods and items essential to quests that we're never going to finish. But some items just can't be thrown out, like your favorite set of clothing. Greuvee of <Is Better Than You> on Bonechewer (US-H) liked the super-awesome Malefic Raiment set so much that he brought it along on his pre-expansion tour of Azeroth.

Oh hey, thanks for reminding me that I needed to clear out those last few pieces of redundant equipment I was hanging on to for stat juggling.

They just don't make Tier Sets like they used to.

Amen to that, but I can't say I'm unhappy with the cata armor sets at all. The dungeon set looks fairly cool, and the tier just looks amazing--especially with the warlock and DK sets.

I'm definitely not looking forward to my Rockhead McUnderbite T11 Warrior gear. :\

Me wantz me Tier 2 Judgment paladin again! best tierz eveeerrr!!!!
*cough*
ok, now seriously, T-10 was pretty decent, but nothing beats the classic T-2... Not looking too foward to the new pally tier set..looks like a concoction between a bird and a sheep or something XD

Man, I'd hate to have a warlock. Imagine how many armor sets they must have in their banks. Dear Blizzard, give warlocks a break! Stop making cool armor for them!

Nah, the only tier gear I've kept long once I've outgrown it has been the T6. And I never had the full set, either. But that hat... it's just so much fun. Especially since my main lock is a gnome, so looks like a little fire beetle in that thing, when the wings pop out. Put it on while waiting for a pug raid to start, and watch the newbies double-take :)

@Pat,
To be rather honest, I think we can all agree they are doing that with Tier 11. :(

T11 for Warlock just looks weird to me. Maybe it's the fact that you're dressing up to look like a member of the Twilight's Hammer...
Eternitea Dec 4th 2010 11:39AM
Haha I did the same thing. If I'm going to be running around aimlessly I better have huge demon wings to make it even more fun!

I still have the T4 voidwalker-looking helm in my lock's bank, and I don't plan on getting rid of it -- having a swirling vortex of doom centered on me is pretty cool!

Being a TBC baby, I believe that Tier 6, or least those who adorned it were god-like.. Even classes that I either despised or had no interest in playing were just awesome. I remember a Prot Warrior in full tier 6 walking towards the same Fel Iron Mineral Vein as me. I walked the other way, scared to even mouse-over him.
This was on a PvE Normal server.
Of course, now I'm much wiser and my main doesn't have a noob gathering profession. I'm so smart that I pay stupid prices to level up my profession 25k and 2 weeks earlier than everyone else. It's nice to be clever.

Somewhat related to this image, but I've seen quite a few people running around with the old-school tier or battleground gear. Just today I had a pally tank in the Slave Pens that had all of the old BG gear (marshal's set or something on). I wonder if these people are coming back to WoW after a looooong break (he didn't know what he was doing or where he was going either).

Man...that set blew my mind when I first started it. My first character was a hunter rolled a week before 2.4 came out. I was standing at the AH when the wings from a Warlock in front of me opened up.
I saw that, went "Holy shit." and rolled a Warlock that day. The rest is history.

Warlocks go from cool to skittle garb for tier this time. Here's hoping tier 12 isn't dora the explorer costume ware >
