I started playing WoW after Wrath came out. I am not sure of when i started exactly, but i was a level 23 running around ashenvale when my level 80 girlfriend was doing ToC10 with her guild. My first raid at 80 was Ulduar. After hitting 80 and seeing some content, i made a promise to myself that i would kill the LK before cataclysm was released.Last week, i killed him on my tank alt, for a bittersweet ending to the game for me. Until last night when my guild got together for one last attempt of ICC10 on our mains. My co-tank from the last week was confident we could do it again, and thanks to some magnificent performance we (my main included) were able to complete the instance, three-shotting the king.We had set several goals as a guild. My co-founders finally got one his Insane title, the other her Main (pally tank) LK kill, we completed undying and 8man naxx simultaneously, and generally had a great time together. Our only regrets were that we were unable to complete our herald of Ulduar gearsets (despite completing all the keeper HMs while farming the gear), not getting our rusted drakes (damn you kologarn and your left arm dying half a second after the body), and not getting our ZG mounts (which we farmed religiously).Luckily, regrets aside, we completed many of our goals and had fun doing it. All those nights laughing in vent, swapping playful insults and generally enjoying each others' company makes me glad that we were able to accomplish what we did, and even if we hadn't killed lichie, i'm sure we would have had just as much fun.
