I was officer of a guild whose GM went on a two week vacation that lasted five months and left me in charge. After the third month, she came back to give me GM officially. I tried to keep the guild running...I really did. But dealing with massive burnout on my part from trying to organize a steady 10-man group, to dealing with the immaturity of some of the people in the guild, to putting out fire after fire after fire, to having to deal with an intense semester at school, I just couldn't handle it anymore. The guild fell apart. GM bitched at me about it when she showed up one day, I told her to fuck off, and then me and six or seven other people that were cool from the guild went Horde.
