Welcome! Just be warned, the only columnists we go through quicker than Shamans are the Warlocks. Good luck! One note, on Focus Insight:"With 3/3 Focused Insight, that means you'll be able to Greater Healing Wave yourself for 75 percent its normal mana cost and 30 percent more healing every 10ish seconds."The 75% mana cost reduction isn't of GHW's cost. The talent says "After casting any Shock spell, your next heal's mana cost is reduced by 75% of the cost of the Shock spell." Given that we're already getting a hefty rebate on our instant spells through Mental Quickness, I don't think the mana savings on heals through Focus Insight will all that great, but yes, it offers a a very solid healing boost that we should have up almost all the time. And thanks for the tip on Frozen Power, I hadn't thought of speccing into that for leveling. I'll be more than happy to get rid of the points in Improved Fire Nova, they just make me feel dirty now. In fact, unless IFN or Imp Shields somehow offers a truly compelling DPS benefit, I might just keep Frozen Power in my Enh spec from now on; it's mainly used for soloing, and I doubt it'll be a serious liability on the rare occasions I'm not healing in a raid.

Oh, that is a huge catch on Focused Insight! Very sorry I missed it. :(That definitely pulls away from some of the appeal of Focused Insight for mana conservation- MW heals will do more for that. On a throughput basis, though, Focused Insight will still be very helpful. Thanks very much for the catch!
