WoW Moviewatch: Sentinel Hill

And now for something sublime and soothing. We're going to need it with all the expansion excitement tomorrow. Sentinel Hill by EmberIsolte and TheGreyFoo is a beautiful piece of work. The music is wonderfully put together, and TheGreyFoo's video absolutely underscores EmberIsolte's haunting vocals.

The song and video tell the story of a Westfall woman whose love has gone off to fight in distant lands. It's especially poignant now, when Deathwing's attack forces all the soldiers back home. They may have defeated the Lich King, but the real danger is a little south now. The Alliance and Horde were supposed to return to a hero's welcome; instead, the struggle is merely continuing.

This song is really nice. I enjoyed it, except for the fact Alliance races make me have a little throw up in my mouth.

Um dude, hate to break it to you, but you're human too. It doesn't matter how many times you scream 'I am a proud orc shaman! LOK TAH OGAH!!!!!!!!', you're still a level 1 human by default. :D

@Slaign and Blue: Greyfoo is one of my guild mates, and I can say he didn't make this as a prelude to Cataclysm. It was made as an entry for the Blizzcon machinima contest, which sadly he did not place in. This video and its song are one of my favorite pieces Grey has worked on and I am amazed that he and Ember didn't even place with it.

Still, we are very lucky to have him in our guild and if you like this video, you should check out of some of the other videos he has done. They are all fantastic, although they aren't all as serious. Keep an eye out for the pink-mohawked gnome in tier 1 in some of his videos. That's me :)
