A Cataclysm 101 guide for reputation rewards

Most of these new reputations also offer tabards at friendly rep that you can use to gain reputation while running heroics. Join us after the cut for a rundown of all the new reputations available in Cataclysm, what zones you'll need to go to to gain rep with them, where to find their quartermasters, and what rewards they have to offer.
Guardians of Hyjal

The Guardians of Hyjal provide the spellcaster helm enchant, and they offer a tabard at friendly reputation to help you gain rep through dungeon runs.
Earthen Ring

Earthen Ring reputation is primarily gained through questing in the new underwater Vashj'ir zone, and this reputation provides the tanking helm enchant.

Therazane
| Zone Deepholm Tabard Yes Quartermaster D'lom the Collector Rep rewards View full list Notable rewards |

The reputation rewards include many items excellent for PvP or PvE, as well as two mounts. Baradin's Wardens and Hellscream's Reach are the only new Cataclysm reputations that do not offer a tabard as a way to gain rep.

I still find it strange that the Earthen Ring offers an Arcanum that is of no use to Shaman. My main's a shaman, and I'm really happy the ER is finally a reputation faction, but it would make more sense to work on my Hyjal or Ramkahen reps.
Do shaman get any bonus rep to the Earthen Ring, like how mages are automatically Friendly with Dalaran?
Also, just to confirm, the Arcanums are Bind to Account from the get-go, but the Inscriptions aren't? That's how they're showing up on Wowhead, wanted to know if that was going live. If so, my prot warrior alt just needs to worry about Therazane, knowing that his achievement-whore shaman friend's got the Earthen Ring covered.

On the other hand, the Earthen Ring has two epic items that shamans can use (of different specs), whereas the Guardians of Hyjal only has one epic item for druids. So shamans aren't the only faction being neglected by their NPC support.
In general I think they weren't too worried about matching reputation rewards with factions. Every faction has something for everyone. All of it except the arcanums will be replaced relatively quickly by raiders or serious PvPers. And arcanums only require revered reputation, which can be attained by questing. (With most factions, at least. I know some are bugged or just offer less than others. But since you mention Hyjal, I'm around 5000/21000 into revered without any reputation from dungeons at all. I can get the arcanum the day I hit 85.)

The stats and all are highly desirable and better itemized, but the models are quite drab, nothing special at all.
No Argent Skeleton Crusher this time around, ah well.

Quick question: Where do you get the white/gray camel?
That's the one I want, but I can't find how to get it. Did they remove it?
Saeadame Dec 7th 2010 1:25AM
From wowpedia:
The following camel is also anticipated to be in the game, but the source is not yet published:
* [Reins of the Grey Riding Camel]
