The Queue: Day One

Yeah. That thing. The one connected with a Ghostcrawler drinking story. Ewwwwww.
Adam asks:
What the hell are Anemones?
In Vashj'ir, there are these Anemones things that live on the walls of part of the zone. You have to collect their gas/juices. I had absolutely no idea what they looked like until I came across this picture from Wowhead.
After looking them up on Wikipedia, they're like a predatory, flower-looking thing. Probably evil and infested by satanic desires.
Many people asked:
How do I get into Nespirah?
You can go in and wait for stuff to happen, or you can take the underwater horse over, which will automagically activate the quest givers. It's a little bugged, but it's doable.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about, this is a questing area you get to in Vashj'ir. You'll be there soon enough, if you aren't already.
Lysm asked:
Is the Vashj'ir quest achievement bugged?
It appears so. Vashj'ir is short by about 15 quests or thereabout.
Berix asked:
Can I fly in Azeroth without the expansion?
Nope. You need Cataclysm in order to fly in Azeroth.

Don't you also get to learn old weather flying at level 60? That would probably be the biggest reason not to place it in cataclysm zones. Level 60s who wanna traipse around Azeroth on their Snowy Gryphons need to be able to access it.
Shuckles Dec 7th 2010 4:07PM
(cutaia) would be right. The only thing that stops you is having the expansion. Once you hit level 60, as long as you have the expansion, you can fly in Azeroth.

BC flying tought you how to fly in the region the trainer was in (Outland).
Wrath Flying taught you to fly in the region the trainer was in (Northrend).
The Cataclysm flight instruction teaches you to fly in old Azeroth, so why would he be in what is effectively New Azeroth? That would be like having to visit Borean Tundra to learn to fly in HFP.
Untyl Dec 7th 2010 9:36PM
Yes, I find it odd as well that a level 60 skill isn't locked away in a level 80 questing area. What were they thinking?
RogueJedi86 Dec 7th 2010 9:39PM
Okay this is unrelated to my comment chain, but Untyl, every hour or so I get an e-mail saying you replied, but when I check, it's just the post you made hours updated to the time of the most recent e-mail, effectively making your hours-old reply's post time updated to appear to have been made at the most recent hour every hour. The WoW Insider/Joystiq comment system sure is wonky.

OMG yay for the isopod.
Hangk Dec 7th 2010 2:19PM
Can we tame it???
Drakkenfyre Dec 7th 2010 3:25PM
Looking it up on WoWHead, it used the cockroach model.
Arrg, on 4.1 it must be upgraded to it's own model.
Smoke353 Dec 7th 2010 2:10PM
How did you survive long enough to become an adult without ever learning what an anemone was?
Amallia Dec 7th 2010 2:15PM
I would also like to know the answer of this question, though I have a feeling Mr. Holisky is joking. Thus, my silly clownfish post.
zcubed Dec 7th 2010 2:19PM
poor deprived ppl never saw 'Finding Nemo' either.
GerardthePriest Dec 7th 2010 2:22PM
Truly, one wonders how anyone survives to adulthood without critical survival knowledge regarding anemones and other ocean invertebrates.
Viator Dec 7th 2010 2:31PM
Its called anene...anenem....anenemo....an...ehm
Drakkenfyre Dec 7th 2010 2:39PM
I am going to say, how did anyone not know what an anemone is, considering you learn about them in middle school grade science.
If you ever picked up a National Geographic, EVER, you were more than likely to see pictures of them.
If you ever saw a documentary about oceans, you were most likely going to see anemones.
If you saw video from a dive, you were more than likely going to see anemones.
Kia Dec 7th 2010 2:34PM
Thank god I'm not the only one wondering this. I knew what an anemone was in early elementary school...
Evandrial Dec 7th 2010 2:38PM
with fronds like these, who needs anemones?
Yangli Dec 7th 2010 2:58PM
You forgot to mention that most zoos should have them. At least that's where I learned what an anemone is... at the age of three or maybe four.
Felix_NZ Dec 7th 2010 3:43PM
I may be spoiled by living in an island nation, but I thought that was pretty primary/elementary school level knowledge stuff too.
Rufio Dec 7th 2010 3:44PM
^ Felix, as a fellow kiwi, my thoughts exactly.

Will we be able to fly to Northrend or from Eastern Kingdom to Kalimdor?
