The Queue: Day One

Yeah. That thing. The one connected with a Ghostcrawler drinking story. Ewwwwww.
Adam asks:
What the hell are Anemones?
In Vashj'ir, there are these Anemones things that live on the walls of part of the zone. You have to collect their gas/juices. I had absolutely no idea what they looked like until I came across this picture from Wowhead.
After looking them up on Wikipedia, they're like a predatory, flower-looking thing. Probably evil and infested by satanic desires.
Many people asked:
How do I get into Nespirah?
You can go in and wait for stuff to happen, or you can take the underwater horse over, which will automagically activate the quest givers. It's a little bugged, but it's doable.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about, this is a questing area you get to in Vashj'ir. You'll be there soon enough, if you aren't already.
Lysm asked:
Is the Vashj'ir quest achievement bugged?
It appears so. Vashj'ir is short by about 15 quests or thereabout.
Berix asked:
Can I fly in Azeroth without the expansion?
Nope. You need Cataclysm in order to fly in Azeroth.

no, you hit fatigue pretty quickly out there, and id guess the flightpath hippogryphs wouldnt make it over the ocean either.

No
Daynthebold Dec 7th 2010 2:24PM
Probably not. My understanding of these zones is they're all housed on separate servers. I remember once that Kalimdor crashed completely while Eastern Kingdoms were fine and they said something about hardware issues.
Jestin Dec 7th 2010 2:26PM
No, which actually kinda makes sense if you think about it in the same way that you get the BC loading screen when you go to Silvermoon City... it's a way of "gating" out the content that people may not have bought the expansion for.
Gossamer Dec 7th 2010 2:27PM
No more than you can fly from Kalimdor to the Eastern KIngdoms.

Clownfish live in and around sea anemone because their coating is based on sugars instead of protein. The anemone fails to recognize the clownfish as a food source because of this, so the anemone does not sting the clownfish.
Silly clownfish :D
Sinnh Dec 7th 2010 2:22PM
My response to that question was going to be "how on earth have you never seen finding nemo, omg go watch it now!!!" :) love clownfish

Why did the mail here decide to go on a 72hour strike today?
Joakim Dec 7th 2010 6:21PM
Because the mailmen wants to play Cataclysm.
Tooth Dec 7th 2010 2:17PM

With friends like these, who needs anemones...
Amy Schley Dec 7th 2010 2:36PM
Um, there's a mollusk, see? And he walks up to a sea, well he doesn't walk up, he swims up. Well, actually the mollusk isn't moving. He's in one place and then the sea cucumber, well they--I mixed up. There was a mollusk and a sea cucumber. None of them were walking, so forget that I--
There was this mollusk, and he walks up to this sea cucumber. Normally, they don't talk, sea cucumbers, but in a joke everyone talks. So the sea mollusk says to the cucumber...
So just then, the sea cucumber looks over to the mollusk and says : 'with fronds like these, who needs anemones?'!

Have rare spawn timers been changed/extended following Cataclysm to make it harder to get rares in reduced-population areas?
coville Dec 7th 2010 2:22PM
Thanx, thats what I figured. Can't blame a man for wishing though :)

Not knowing what anemones are = your science teacher has failed you.
Kurash Dec 7th 2010 10:09PM
As a teacher I feel compelled to point out that even the most awesome teachers can't reach students who really don't care.
