The Queue: Day One

Yeah. That thing. The one connected with a Ghostcrawler drinking story. Ewwwwww.
Adam asks:
What the hell are Anemones?
In Vashj'ir, there are these Anemones things that live on the walls of part of the zone. You have to collect their gas/juices. I had absolutely no idea what they looked like until I came across this picture from Wowhead.
After looking them up on Wikipedia, they're like a predatory, flower-looking thing. Probably evil and infested by satanic desires.
Many people asked:
How do I get into Nespirah?
You can go in and wait for stuff to happen, or you can take the underwater horse over, which will automagically activate the quest givers. It's a little bugged, but it's doable.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about, this is a questing area you get to in Vashj'ir. You'll be there soon enough, if you aren't already.
Lysm asked:
Is the Vashj'ir quest achievement bugged?
It appears so. Vashj'ir is short by about 15 quests or thereabout.
Berix asked:
Can I fly in Azeroth without the expansion?
Nope. You need Cataclysm in order to fly in Azeroth.

Is the Earthen Ring reputation in Vashjir not working? I've done a ton of quests and I'm still neutral with them.

Two questions,
1. How on earth does a horde player get back to vash'jir once he left? the boat doesnt seem to like me D:.
2. I saw someone riding a white hippogryph but google didn't come up with anything, does anyone know if this is an alliance only mount (my belf priest would LOVE one :D)?
xvkarbear Dec 7th 2010 2:34PM
1. There's a portal near to the flight master and zepplin towers.
2. Is it the Silver Covenant Hippograph? If so, it's Alliance only. http://www.wowpedia.org/Silver_Covenant_Hippogryph_%28mount%29

We know that in order to que for an instance in the "Dung Finder", you have to discover it in person. Does that mean you have to go into it? Or just discover the approximate zone?
lownwolf Dec 7th 2010 2:40PM
i recall someone saying you have to just find the entrance.
eclipse Dec 7th 2010 2:40PM
You only need to discover the outside entrance. You will know when you have found it because the game will say "Discovered X Entrance".
They did this so that people will know where the dungeon is and how to get back to it after a wipe.
Itanius Dec 7th 2010 2:42PM
Walk close to the entrance portal and you'll get a "You have discovered Entrance to Blackrock Caverns" message.
There's no need to go inside the instance to unlock it for the LFD tool.
Copey Dec 7th 2010 3:05PM
Sweet, my evil (wowinsider inspired) plan of parking all my 80s at the entrance of Blackrock Caverns is complete.
Feldring Dec 7th 2010 3:17PM
In order to queue for an instance using the Dung Finder, one doesn't need to discover the entrance...
...just the exit.
Ohm Dec 7th 2010 3:29PM
If you quest in Hyjal you can take Finkle Einhorn's Molemachine to Blackrock Cavern's Enterance. He's located at the Circle of Cinders.
Rob Dec 7th 2010 3:29PM
I think i already did that "Dung Finder" quest.
Azrick Dec 7th 2010 2:38PM
Does anyone know if there a vendor on the horde side like the ally one in stormwind that sells Carriage bags and where?
Itanius Dec 7th 2010 2:44PM
In Org, just one tier under the Cooking daily orc.
Azrick Dec 7th 2010 9:38PM
The guy under the cooking daliy guy does not sell the Carriage Going green Tote bag that im looking for
Mike Dec 7th 2010 2:43PM
Please?
applepear Dec 7th 2010 2:44PM
How long do the two new starting zones take, roughly?
QQinsider Dec 7th 2010 3:48PM
I almost finished Mt Hyjal in about 6 hours I guess. Few bars away from L82. Although it really depends what time of day you play and how much competition you have for quest mobs, same as the start of any expansion.
I'll probably try Vashj'ir on my next alt, I found Mt Hyjal underwhelming tbh. Lore freaks would disagree I'm sure. But most of the quests are just the same old, just a couple of original ones that I can remember right now (the Joust one, which is AWESOME if you remember that ancient arcade game, and the one where you throw baby bears from the top of a tree, lol).
Angela Dec 7th 2010 2:44PM
How long did it take you to install and patch cata?
penguinairsauce Dec 7th 2010 2:50PM
do you need to buy cataclysm if you want to train archaeology?
